So if you didnt know as you upgrade your spells they change options open at 4,7,10.
You also gain more skills as you hit 20 i think you cannot use them all you need to give up a slot.
Please take time to explore the game and read stuff if you dont want spoils from youtube.
i think alot of gamers didnt like the game at all. because only 18% of players on steam did the baisc training achivement… and that something you gets very early on
Over the last almost 2 decades playing WoW and reading people reaction to playing WoW and other games, the main diference i noticed, its that most people take years to get bored of WoW and sometimes they still return.
The rest of the other games, its matter of weeks/months and most of the time they dont return.
Not sure if this is good thing for WoW but it is what noticed over the years.

Well the leveling is very slow and dull, the game didnt try to grab my attention at all in the beginning. There is also lots of hidden systems that if you dont dig in with people playing or mindless do quests you will miss. I didnt know world boss hunting was a thing until people spam “salt giant cn.5”
I’ve bought the platinum version of Lost Ark as well. But I haven’t had time to play it for more than an hour so far.
But even so, the character creation options are quite something. Especially if what you’re used to is WoW. So yeah, I’ve spent an hour on the character creation screen making pretty barbie dolls so far. And it’s time spent well I think.
Is it the next WoW killer? It’ll definitely get talked about as if it is. Personally I think WoW is just in a state where it’s hemorrhaging players to all kinds of other games that appear remotely interesting. And I’m not sure if patch 9.2 will be a very good band-aid.
not a chanse this game will be. if im wrong about this i will tripple my efforts in the LFR guild xD.

You’re kind of doing me a disservice by not quoting the entirety of what I said, namely:
The concept of the WoW killer is a myth in the community. There is no such thing.
There are however a lot of great games coming out that various people will choose to play instead of WoW. Not a single game, but just lots of games. The way it’s always been.
WoW just doesn’t attract a lot of newcomers anymore – a natural consequence of being a 17 year old game – so it doesn’t offset the number of people that leave. And that’s also the way it’s always been for any game that’s past its maturity. It gives way to newer games rising in popularity.

Well the reply was to you, so there’s no need to fully quote, as I picked the point I wanted to make, and it was an accurate statement.
But your reply is not in line with what I said in my post, because I wrote the question as a rhetorical question. I answer it myself and merely use it as a starting point for my line of thinking on why WoW is losing popularity, not to insinuate that Lost Ark might be the next WoW killer.

i did reinstall it again. i played from lvl 14>20. this game for me gonna take a while to lvl as im getting bored of it very easly. i havnt even checked the Platium chest reward yet, as im not sure if i want it on the warrior char or another toon, it says you only get one and it contains every thing so /Sigh
Well there is a chance the game is not for you and it’s strange when you could just waited for today to try it. Personally i like isometric games and i think ill be happy to play this one while the hype is still around. I felt the same as you with new world and i just decided to not buy it unless it got really popular. I never bought it.
I played Lost ark on RU Server and i play it atm with friends on EU Release.
My first advice Was dont buy any founders Pack only bronze if you wanna play it earlier and you have time.
This game will have ups and downs for every Player. 1-50 its pretty ez and fast but the Real Grind starts at 50. If you are casual and only play 1 character without spending money you will do 3 months or more of daylie chores and grinds.
Wow Grind is a joke compared to lost ark.
I bet 60% of the people will leave or stop playing it daylie after the honeymoonphase.
As i said i like lost ark ( especially pvp), gameplay and Animations are top but its not made for everyone especially in the West.
The game looks like Diablo/Last Epoch but with online. So I would rate it meh/10.
