Ive been trying to open a ticket the last days but an error message pops up saying “You can’t submit this ticket. An error has occurred. This may be a temporary error, so please try again later.”
I tried doing it from different browsers, same result.
The ticket is about some of my addons appearing to be “out of date” even though they are “up to date” in the Curse Forge app, which could be the reason why my FPS drop alot and I am lagging at certain raid boss encounters. (despite having a new gaming laptop)
Why you are making ticket about third party addons and software? Neither the addons or software you mentioned are made or supported by Blizzard.
First you should check that the software you use for updating addons is configured properly and is using the correct folder for the addons. If WoW is installed under Program Files it might cause further problems depending on exact setup (eg. user permissions).
Then check that each addon is actually updated to the most recent version. Addon being up to date in the updater does not mean that the addon is actually updated for the current version.
In any case you should contact the addon authors and/or the software developer for further support, or post at the UI forum with more details.
The Curse app will update your addons to their most recent update released by the developer, that does not mean they are up to date for current patch though.
As Grelier very correctly pointed out, this is not a Blizzard issue, they have nothing to do with addons and it’s not something you should be opening a ticket for.
Hey. Thank you for your reply. Curse Forge seems to be using the correct folder for the addons. However, wow is installed under Program Files (x86) (I got 2 folders, one is Program Files (x86) and the other Program Files). Do you think that could be a reason for my FPS dropping on certain raid boss encounters? Also, it seems like all my “out of date” addons are updated to their most recent version. Thank you
By default WoW should be installed in Program Files (x86), so that is correct. Windows has two Program Files folders (one with x86, one without), so that’s nothing to worry about.
FPS drops are usually caused by Addons. Have you tried without any addons enabled to see if that resolves it? Just becuase your using the latest versions (of which some are clearly outdated) does not mean they are guaranteed to work without problems.
WoW is very CPU intense and some areas/encounters in the game are just poorly optimised, you could try turning your graphic settings down while raiding to see if that helps. Also make sure your Graphics Drivers and up to date.
