I cannot transfer a character

I have been trying to transfer a character for the last 48 hours. I keep getting an error which states:

“This character has active auctions. Please cancel them and try again.”

I made a ticket and spoke with a GM who suggested I have unlearned pets or heirlooms in my bag, and that’s why I can’t do the transfer. That is false, there are no pets in my bag or heirlooms.

I’m getting a bit concerned now as I joined a new guild in a different server and have a trial on raid night on Wednesday. I need to get this character transferred before then.

Can you help me?

Do you actually have any active auctions?

Did you check your bank or void storage for those items?

No auctions, bank and storage is completely empty.

I had a response from a GM, they told me to wait until weekly maintenance… that’s raid night.

I figured a paid service would have slightly higher priority than waiting a week but oh well.

Get back in touch via the ticket and say that reply isn’t good enough, you paid for the service and the support is woefully lacking. You need it to be investigated, not for you to be fobbed off with a “what if” reply.

The reset probably won’t help at all.

One final note, try turning off any addons you use just in case it’s them hiding something.

Another couple of pointless GM replies. One suggesting I reset my interface, I have already reinstalled WoW including deleting WTF and Interface folder, also I don’t really understand how a server side issue would be my problem.

I just want to transfer my character.

Can a blue look at this and look at the logs with the GMs? I’m not getting any where with the pointless suggestions.

Blues are not GM’s. They are community managers. As such I doubt very much that they have authority to view any logs relating to in-game issues. I do know however, that they can see your bank, and mail, so who knows.

Did you word the ticket as I suggested? Maybe even say it’s a compliant about how your ticket was handled. Blues here are not GMs. They are more like Customer support.

Make sure you include what you have already done in the ticket, even though it’s already in earlier replies.
