this is epic bruh moment. there’s that guy who wanted to gift me wow-complete-edition(jeez living without last expansion is nightmare) but if you’re american you have usd, and so you can’t gift-wallet money to russian guy with rubles, if you’re american. that would be ok if he could have just gifted me the pack, but he is forced to pay it with dollars, that means he must pay 70-90$ dollars or 70 euros, while in russia it costs 47 dollars. that would be fine if i had debit card where i could somehow make some magic to transfer usd into rubles and send it to my blizzard wallet, but ouch i don’t. community, do you have any ideas? why is it so hard to digitally transfer currencies on blizzard
oh and yeah, if you’re russian, ocasionally you just can’t gift games. it literally says it when i try to. and wallet? well i can’t send my rubles to usd guy
дякую за прочитування даної тупої статті, всім бажаю успіхів з валютою. я рублёвый украинец гы
p.s. actually since there is classic i don’t actually care that much of my missed gift anymore
You can’t transfer currency accross different regions since the introduction of the Battle.net currency nor can you gift someone something from the Blizzard Shop from an account of a different region than theirs. I assume this has something to do with preventing money laundering and tax evasions on the platform. I don’t know for sure though, I could be wrong. Hopefully, someone more literate about the subject will correct me if I’m wrong.
that took you kinda long time to write that. however, thanks for the reply you’ve been working for more than 1 hour. that’s sad different regions make so much trouble. i think i might have to create debit card, add it into my paypal, ask my friend to give 47$, transfer them to rub or something (never used paypal) and then add it to my balance
Yes it makes sense for them to do that but still it sucks on the other hand because I have a few American friends I would love to play with but I can’t because of the region lock.
