Hello again.
Few months ago I made a post to share my struggle about Vulpera with you. Lots of people answered there so I decided to tell you how it ends. I think my experience could be to think about for someone.
What was my problem?
I see perfect WoW race for me in Vulpera. I attach great importance to easthetic. Sadly I just can’t stand playing in Horde because I hate orcish easthetic and Horde’s lore. Also I love Alliance and Anduin too much.
Ok, so I tried to focus on other races I like, like this Pandaren or Worgens. These two races was my favourite before Vulpera and I still love their lore. Problem is…both of them have issues.
None of them have big fluffy tail. None of them are cute and small. Furthermore Worgens are bugged
My struggle continue.
I played some time having fun and then again remembered about PERFECT Vulpera. Each time I was more and more frustrated. I abandoned current characters and tried to attached to new one but the end was always the same: struggle about Vulpera.
It was getting worse. I was so attached to this game I even shed a few tears I can’t play character I like the most.
Three days ago I reached apogee. I log into a game and saw my worgen character bugged on Lucid Nightmare and I get depressed because I knew that theres no such problems with little characters like Vulpera. This time I really cried from frustration and you know what? F*ck this. It started to gone mental. I can’t cry about a stupid game, like wtf.
Conclusion?
I can’t play Vulpera in Alliance. I can’t stand a Horde either. Worgens are bugged and don’t have tails. Pandarens (I play only female characters) looks too human from behind and their tails are too small and ugly so it just looks fake. I tried draenei too, but they are also bugged
I found FFXIV, I tried it and I loved it.
I still prefer WoW because of it’s lore I love but I can’t play a game that confusing my mind. It’s not healthy. So…thank you all, who posts at my previous thread, for help but nothing works. I don’t have a choice now.
Also now I understand why in other MMORPGs factions doesn’t get too different races. If factions even exsist.

The 2-faction system is outdated and lame and should’ve been removed after MoP.
It only really exists because Blizzard knows the hardcore Horde weirdos are free marketing.

That’s your opinion. It is fun and part of WOW DNA. I doubt you will understand.
I always read those vocal minority players requesting Blizzard to remove what they don’t like in game, things that have been there for many many years before they even knew this game.
Remove Talent tree, wtf those 1% crits. Remove Class trainers I don’t want to walk. Remove Profession Perks leveling profession is hard. Remove those many equipment slots, I don’t want to farm this many equipments.
Remove, remove, remove.
We ended up with an ugly version of WOW thanks to you!

Arent Pandarens supposed to get some tails in Shadowlands?
Don’t heard about it. Only new color variations.
goodluck with final fantasy.
While some levels of freedom are good for the game, you have a choice before you when it comes to factions.
There are consequences for choosing alliance or horde. A lot of games that give you 2 opposing factions, will provide you with the same type of consequence.
There are things that we want and things that we get.
If you’re this much upset about not being able to pick your desired character on your desired faction, then this game is not meant for you.

I mean, Alliance did slaughter a bunch of Vulpera, so it makes sense they don’t really want to ally themselves with them.
To be honest, I hate playing Alliance, but I love anything void and obviously needed a void elf, so here I am. It’s just a game, and the sooner you realise that you might actually enjoy it a lot more. Also, there’s nothing wrong with playing a different faction - it’s opened up a lot of the story to me, and playing the game through different eyes has made it feel more refreshing because it’s all new to me.
Orcs are beautiful btw.

What’s fun about it, though? It doesn’t add anything to the game in terms of actual gameplay, especially as all Endgame content is the same for both factions and always has been.
It’s also not “WoW DNA” because WoW originated out of WarCraft 3 - which had 4 playable factions (and was planned to have more!) and whose story was all about how the old faction divides was stupid and wrong. Y’know, the same lesson we learn every expansion?
Most MMOs today actually don’t do that. The 2-faction system was popularized by WoW but most MMOs that copied it found that it wasn’t very good and have since either relaxed restrictions heavily - Star Wars Old Republic and Star Trek Online - or straight-up removed them, such as Elder Scrolls Online.
WoW clings to the outdated 2-faction system, but it is becoming increasingly clear to Blizzard that it’s not worthwhile - BFA was supposed to be all about the factions, and it ended up just being MoP 2: Like Last Time But Done Worse and With Less Budget.

The point is that I tried to play Horde. I unlocked Vulpera and then tried to play as one. And what? Ugh…this faction is just not for me.
Does it really matter though? Most of the time I’m dealing with neutral characters like Magni, Wrathion, Panderan, and the cat dudes in Uldum. I actually forget what faction I’m playing for these days because I have very little interaction with them.
Wtf did I just read, I think I cringed so hard I developed permanent wrinkles
