why this skill must take a point to the tree and not be baseline only on enh shaman?

Do you guys really like Feral Lunge? It feels super underwhelming, to me… Go from point A to point B, deal miniscule damage, big woop!
we dont need it for the dmg to be honest…
It’s a gap closer, useful in PvP. And I share the feeling that it should be baseline.
