I decided to play Demonology in shuffle

Keep yapping

I actually main demo in shuffle and 2v2/3v3, for me it feels pretty powerful. But you’re right,
No idea why we have to cast dreadstalkers/vilefiend
One of them should be instant ( I vote for dreadstalkers )

And why is demo the only class that cast their " offensive cooldowns " tyrant???
That should be instant aswell.

Shadow Priest casts theirs (Void Eruption and Dark Ascension) and CHANNELS another (Void Torrent). Archon SP also casts theirs (Halo).

It is among warlocks.
Thing is, Affli is very straight forward mechanics → apply dots → summon darkglare, here you have very generous timings with the durations of the dots.

Infernal of Destro gives stun, AoE/ST damage/Shard generation/Buffs to RoF or CB via talents, all on the one button with little to none ramp up.

Demo needs to conjure demons - imps, vilefiends, and dreadstalkers - all of which are summonable. Imps require a precise 1.7 second casting window for their Fel Fire Bolt, cast six times. Dreadstalkers remain for only 12 seconds, vilefiends for 15 seconds, and the combination of Dreadstalkers and Vilefiends are cooldown-based, unlike the spammable DoTs of Affliction. Additionally, casting Tyrant is required on top of this.
It is cast, in order to cast, in order to cast Tyrant so Tyrant could cast… it is a hardcast overkill.

I know how Warlocks work. And I didn’t ask for an essay, I was correcting the statement that Demo is the only ‘class’ that casts its offensive CDs. It’s not.

Isn’t Demo like the Strongest Lock spec now? on Drustvar the stats show Demo is shooting up the ratings. L2P issue?

Do people still play Archon btw? I haven’t seen one in ages. Is it still better is some comps?

And to others now: Demo damage is already nasty. And I don’t believe that casting is that big of a deal at the moment. It’s rather a thing that both Charhound and Dreadstalkers have duration and you always want to Tyrant when both are up. I feel that the biggest Demo struggle are comps like Feral Mage when you lack interrupts to stop the CC but once you manage to finish your go even meeles melt. I found that the only class that Demo feels unplayable against so far is Havoc with Blood Moon but considering how rare they are it’s not a big deal. Spec itself is good and quite simple to play but as someone mentioned already SP was the tankiest caster because of Void Leech. It mind change today though.

Demo got buffed literally this reset. That’s why.

You’re on ignore. I’m not dealing with your random switch ups whenever you want to learn something.

Don’t know what switch up do you mean since we didn’t argue for a year and I even defended you from others in season 4 because you definetely changed but if you wish. Do whatever you wish and works for you

Good point, but demo is worse is the castbar area.
At least shadow get a instant vampiric touch when they get the first one out every 15 seconds or whatever it is and shadow crash.

Nah bro, the spec is cooked mate. Very easy to play around, you have to cast so much, so easy to LoS your casts, interruppt, disrupt. Your pets are complete fodder AoE CC, and every spec seemingly has so much of it, I mean priests have roots now fgs. When I play on my hunter you can’t do much, because your pets are in roots or AoE stunned, knock backed etc. You only have two stun windows to do anything.

hunter is still easier than demo lock

Wasn’t the original point.

no because soul link is 10% for all 3 specs and any spec can play with a pet
eg im playing felhunter 99% of the times because of the soullink+purges

i still flop though
