I Disagree with all Races DK for one reason

Hello and thank you for reading.

So, the thing is I do agree with all races Death Knights but I have one problem.

A few years ago I said why can’t Undead be Paladins and everyone told me this can’t happen because Lorewise.

I just wanna know three things now

How can Lightforged Draenei be Death Knights now? Weren’t they of the Light?

Why can’t Undead be Paladins if they were Humans afterall and were able to be this class? What did these Human Paladins become then when they transformed into Undead? Death Knights? Maybe but this can’t be the case for the last question atleast.

Why can’t Worgens be Paladins if they were Humans afterall and were able to be this class?

Just give Worgens and Undead Paladin class if Lightforged Draenei can be Death Knight.

Greetings.

I made a topic a while back about this, well, kinda, i argued that every race that can have priests should also be able to have paladins, since paladins are nothing more than a priest in armor who learned to hit with a hammer.

They were of the Light. In becoming a Death Knight they’ve lost any connection to the light, therefore they’re like a regular Draenei Death Knight, while retaining the physical changes of the Lightforge process. Most likely Lightforged will look less “lighty” when they’re made into a DK. Also yes Undead should be Paladins too, there are light wielding Undead Priests but Blizz won’t give us what we need.

I’m totally agreeding with Lightforged Draenei and they probably have darker skin like what you said.

But what about Worgens Paladins? These Worgens were Humans and some of then were Paladins and also were bitten so were are Worgen Paladins?

Thank you for understanding.

Arthas was a paladin, turned into a death knight. You can be from the light and become death knight. You can’t do the opposite.

They can’t be paladins but somehow they can be holy priests. That’s been a question for ages. No one still knows how this light distinguishes stuff. But most likely it’s because paladin was an alliance only thing in the old WOW days, and when it became a horde thing as well, they wanted to limit the number of races that could become paladins.

Do we know there won’t be any Undead Paladins? I mean this whole Lightforged Undead that Calia is stirring up may very well be a direction towards the whole thing.

I can see Blizzard at one point deciding to create further Race / Class Combinations, just as they did in past expansions.

I mean if a Bloodelf can drain mana from their surroundings to create Rage, Energy, Hatred or Insanity, while not using mana at all, then pretty much anything is possible, don’t you think?

There’s quite a few discrepancies in Race / Class Combinations already. Undead Paladins would just be the most obvious one yet.

Using death magic doesn’t require any particular favours or interactions with cosmic powers. It requires technique.
Raised DKs can be taught this technique. Anyone can be ressed. Ergo anyone can be a DK.

The light requires sheer belief in ability to utilise it, then the cosmic force will manifest for you to use. The light tends to be sensitive for perception of morals one uses.
Undead creatures tend to believe they cannot wield the light, and tend to not believe their cause is morally just as many consider themselves corrupted or cursed.
This is why forsaken cannot be Paladins.

But what about Worgens Paladins? These Worgens were Humans and some of them were Paladins and some Priest or Hunter whatever and also were bitten so were are Worgen Paladins?

Thank you for understanding.

Edit: I kinda wanna have a Worgen Paladin :3

Many worgen Paladins will have lost their faith by viewing their transoformation as a curse/punishment. Others will have retained faith, but may believe that as “cursed beings” they cannot use the light, therefore due to how the light works, they can’t use it.

Priests are a lot less literal THE LIGHT than Paladins. So the connection and perception one has with the light is more sensitive for Paladins than priests. Priests have a much more theoretical relationship with the Light, Paladins have something akin to a personal communion with it, which means that if it’s damaged in any way (or you believe it is, even wrongly) you weaken the connection yourself and begin to lose the powers.

Honestly, it’s just pixels we move around in a game that we play to amuse ourselves. I couldn’t care less about “Lore” in a game where 90% of quests just entails my pixels “killing” other pixels for XP.

Then don’t comment about matter concerning the lore posted by people who care about said lore.

Still not explains how they can be holy priests and wield the light.

What you’re saying is correct lore wise, but gamewise, still doesn’t make sense.

Being able to wield the light does not make him a paladin in the same way a shaman casting flame shock does not make them a mage.

Sir Zeliak is being controlled when fighting us. He is not willingly invoking the light as he wills. I would argue he’s not a paladin, but a death Knight that can use holy magic. Which is an extremely rare circumstance.

Literally the first paragraph

" Sir Zeliek was one of the Four Horsemen.
He was a paladin in life, so strong in his faith, that even in undeath the power of the Light still heeded his call, smiting his foes in battle"

It only doesn’t make sense if you assume how priests and Paladins invoke the light is exactly the same, and I’d argue its not. Priests and Paladins have a very different relationship with the light.

Also, in game “Holy” priest doesn’t necessarily mean “uses the Holy light”, it’s largely a term used to dennote the benevolent, compassionate and righteous branches of priests. Unless you’re arguing nelf priests we’re always about worshipping the light, same for trolls etc. They’re using holy magic, not the light, and holy magic is not the same as the light (but the light is one of the purest manifestations of Holy magic)

ALL paladin use THE LIGHT proper. This is confirmed. Even if sunwalkers don’t think they are.

Why doesn’t Nathanos Blightcaller look like a Undead like me?

He was a paladin in life.

Donald Trump was a 10 year old once. Would it be correct to call him one now?

That paragraphs tells me he was a paladin and he can still use holy magic but he doesn’t say he is still a paladin now. Only that as he was a particular kind of paladin, he can still use light now. Subtle, but not the same.

Because he once was, but he killed his Nephew and stole his body.

They were wrong btw. Undead cán be paladins lore-wise.
