But even the FOMO is meh. There is no rhyme or reason to do stuff.
Like I don’t think I’m even angry or disappointed about Retail, it’s all ‘meh’, fair enough. Just isn’t made for players like myself anymore.

Well you have mmo out there who focuses completely on the story telling and their world… Such as Star wars the old republic. And guild wars 2. Final fantasy 14
But none of them beat wow… Why? Because they are mmo games made as a single player game with a mmo flavor attached to it…
But once you beat or finish them your done… They don’t give you any reason to keep playing… Guild wars 2 does but it doesn’t give you the same carrot on the stick to endlessly chase that wow does.
I swear if Guild wars 2 implimented endgame content like WoW has xD mythic dungeons and raids and gear progression…
It would have killed wow years ago… Cause their game and their world is just so much more fun and exiting than WoW would ever be. To the point WoW is now more or less copy pasting it straight off.

i played gw2 for 2 years. it was great.
i stopped playing it because arenanet starting doing Weeb stuff, like cosmetic skins and weeb anime stuff

They always had weeb stuff and anime stuff. But the story telling and the campaign. Arena net always took seriously…
I swear if Arena net when Guild wars 2 launched… Had given us some sort of end game to prusue. Guild wars 2 might of actually had been the game that took wow of its throne…
But they decided not too… And everyone and their dog is now celebrating guild wars 2 for not following the same path as wow… But I Disagree…

for me it did, i quit wow for 2 years to play it.
and i loved it,
only reason i stopped playing, the weeb stuff got too much, i couldnt bare witniss to Bunny / cat ear players running around acting like children
at least in WoW its still rare to see some weeb stuff

WoW’s throne is built on attracting everyone with a pulse between ages 10-100. There’s a ton of games that beat WoW in a few aspects -economy, PvP, adventure etc., but they all have a fraction of its size.

WoW is the mmo that encompasses every Endgamers need. PVE PVP and casuals alike. WoW has got something for all…
But their open world and all content below that effin sucks xD In guild wars 2 the world is wast and full of adventure and exploration and events that draws players together…
WoW is now trying to do the same… But I always felt it was so unfair that Guild wars 2 never got a chance at the throne…
Many wow players tried and loved guild wars 2 back in the day… they reached max level and where like ‘‘What now?’’ And logged off… Guild wars 2 had nothing to offer.
But WoW always did and always does.
The world of guild wars 2 and their dynamic events and the good story telling will always draw me back to the game though… But it lacks that Carrot on a stick of endless content. That im used too from WoW
If Arenanet could ecompass every end game content like Blizzard does for wow…
I feel you, besides there are so many other great games out there these days, I mean 2024 alone startet really good so far (Enshrouded, Palworld, Nightingale, Terminator, Prince Of Persia etc.)

Time to finally get GWAHH!
It’s no longer World of WARcraft, but now World of WOKEcraft!
Maybe in the future things will get back to being normal and common sense throughout the western world. Then finally the entertainment industry as a whole will get back to taking risks and creating new & exciting things, which are not caters to that 2% of the world’s population.
But games as whole has taken a massive dive in the wrong direction. Nothing new is bring created, which draws in the audience and makes them go “omg wow I need to have that!”, it’s now more of us going “I wonder what crap they’ve created!”.

The game is heading in such a narrative direction that I wonder who their target audience is? Because definitely not players who were attracted to the old warcraft, maybe they are trying to appeal to final fantasy players, well you can see the results.
