I don't know why i ever bother, it's never going to work

Talking about making a youtube video for WoW stuff, but my Ytube channel is just too small and will never get any traction for such a big game.

But the dragon races were so fun and i excitedly made a video for some of the races.

If any one want to give it a view, great. Otherwise just disregard this thread, Just trying to get it out there, because it won’t show up in youtubes algorithm ever

Make the videos because you like making them. Not because you want X amount of viewers or likes. If your videos are not reaching a bigger audience then try to find out why? Maybe find some popular forums to share the videos/channel. Find out what people like to watch and see if it matches with what you enjoy making.

Don’t make the poor me type of posts. It puts you in a negative spot already and people will be less inclined to check you out. I don’t know if there is a market for Dragon riding but top 5/10 videos usually do well. History of games and development and fact videos seem to do well on youtube. How to videos. Like how to get x item or how to do certain more challenging types of content.

These are the 10 most popular categories of videos on Youtube. Maybe one or more of these topics is something you might want to make videos about that are game/WoW related.

  • #1 Music video.
  • #2 How-to (Tutorial)
  • #3 “Top” list.
  • #4 Commentary.
  • #5 Educational.
  • #6 Comedy.
  • #7 Reaction and Challenge Videos.
  • #8 Docuseries.
  • #9 ASMR, stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Aesthetic or pleasing sounds of everyday experiences. For e.g., scratching, breathing, whispering, writing or crinkling of paper among other things.
  • #10 Interview

Good luck with your channel. :+1:

Congratulations on the Gold

Well, you have 1200 subscribers, so it’s not nothing.

I’m not sure exactly what vetting Wowhead does for posting of helpful videos, but it’s another place you could expose it: https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=15920/ohnahran-plains-gold#

Stick it on Reddit

100% accurate. Do it with passion. Not for money. The people will come to you on their own.

That works for smaller games.

That’s how i get views for Vindictus and such.

But the WoW reddit hates when people post youtube videos.

i dont think wow is very enjoyable content to watch. Generally games like cod with alot more action tend to get more views. So i kind of feel if you want to make a youtube name wow isnt the best game to make content about. And if you do its probably machinas and lore videos wich will get the most views

True. The only WoW content that is interesting to watch (at least imo) is probably Kakios Roleplay “Summaries”…

Like this for example:

Id say lore videos like platinum wow or nobel or funny ones like oxhorn videos, korraks guide etc do okay well. But i would never really sit down for gameplay videos

Me neither, but I didn’t spoke of lore videos, since those hardly contain gameplay these days.
