I dont remember mithril ores being nonexistant to begin with. Every zone that should have mithril ore in a good rate is either gone or replaced by iron ores and thorium veins. I am not joking. In my other account, I did my routes in desolace, azshara and so on 04.00 early morning, I saw 0 bots in these areas, and I either saw no ore spawn or iron/thorium spawn.
Meanwhile in Un’Goro, I swear I am not making this up. Thorium ore have about 30-60 seconds respawn rate. What is going on xD
Outlands number of veins is also extremely, I mean EXTREMELY bad. I get that this is like the old retail but it is an MMO, come on man. It just takes one active miners in a TBC zone and every single ore is gone for the rest of the players.
I cant wait for WOTLK. Even in a dead server, cobalt veins is extremely rare. Good luck finding one when the expansion hits.
That’s pretty much how it is. You can fly across any TBC zone and rarely find more than a couple of nodes to mine.
It gets even worse if you are on the ‘wrong’ server. As a Horde on Pyrewood Village, which is 98% Alliance, I found it the worst experience ever trying to level up mining.
I just hope it’s not the same on WOTLK, although I think I am more than likely going to delete my two chars on this server.
Blizz it’s cuz of u! here so many gold selers, ppl cannot find ores and then they go and buy it on auk! and where is money u think sure from fruit gold selers! If population of the realm is so big do something with it! and ban every bot!
Mithril node doesn’t respawn like it is expected, sometime you need like 3 hours to get the same node again. The respawn timer of mithril node is bugged, and it create a huge queue of players that want to upgrade their mining past mithril but they can’t, making the mithril even more rare.
In opposite, Thorium node in Ungoro crater hyperspawn, you have like 3 nodes sitting close to each others and sometime node respawn near instantly.
It’s impossible that bot monopolize the whole nodes, otherwise we would see bot players running.
Instead, you see nothing. Nobody, and no nodes. I don’t think bot is mining under the map …
The current workaround is to go into Maraudon again and again.
Its really bad. Specially mithrill. No clue if this is working as intented. Prob not. Since i also habe the same expierence in ungoro. There is definitly a lot of competition now which doesnt help thats for sure. Hellfire and hinterlands really sucks. Terrokar forrest was pretty decent again.
Yup, I was trying to finish SSO gathering quest (Nether Residue) and I had to fly to BEM to find any ores. Lucky me I found khorium which gave 5 q items at once. This definitely isn’t working as intended.
Its busted for sure, a work around right now that ensures you can at least mine northrend ores is to stay mining in un’goro , rich throium is green still for me at 351 and respawns are insanely fast.
Since it wasn’t quite as bad for me im going to assume its not a bug and its intentional, to control how much gold is earned from it server wide
Edit: It still look me around 4 hours of straight mining to get through the mithril phase but still, I was finding ore
I feel like there are 3-4 times less ores than before prepatch. Herbs are kinda OK, but ores are extremely rare now.
