Why the hell should I have to use ambush, it does not synergize with anything.

He is talking about how they are forced to use ambush from stealth to trigger Deathmark from their hero tree, when they would rather use that window to spread Garrotes.
For PvE its honestly not that big of a deal, you still get to spread garrotes for some time after you break stealth. But for PvP it does kind of suck being forced to open with Ambush when you really rather go with cheap shot or garrote openers
Yeah it feels completely wrong in PvP at least. Makes openers so bloated…
But you still can open with those. As long as you apply ambush for the mark within the subterfuge window before throwing your envenom I dont see it as a such a big deal.
I dont know if it was their intent but i see a case for trying to make assa more of an active spec instead of just apply dots and forget about it. Giving ambush a more active role could be a part to it, as well as hugely boosting envenom like Deathstalker currently does.
