Maybe right now is not the best time but I’d take a good player we have to speed gear over a mediocre already geared one every day and twice on Sunday.
That said, if you don’t want to join a guild especially as a tank 30k is nowhere near enough to gear a char.
People are just like retail and ask for 5k gs for content that asks for 3k just to afk 5 minutes longer in dalaran.
I bought a mvl 70 boost and leveled up a rogue in firemaw alliance , 70 to 80 in 4 days played and did wintergrasp every 3hours at lvl 71 and onward(bought a mage tp to dalaran for 5g)
Lvl 80 i had 1500g and 75k honor points.
Bought 5 pvp pieces + weapons + throw ilvl 213.
Bought ilvl 232 belt for 150g , i think i had 3k3 gs at that point?
I started by farming trial of champion 5 normal for ilvl 200 gear, do 5 every hour until you get all u need(i made my own group and the dungeon is a joke anyway). Do daily heroic dungeon for emblem of triumph and some random hc if you want,until you can bou gear with emblem of conquest.
And keep doing wintergrasp,its 1 free item every round.
4k gs after 4-5days .
Now you can start doing onyxia 10+25 and vualt of archavon,again thosr are really easy raids and ppl asking for 5k are asking for a Speedrun or to afk faster in dalaran .
You can alsos start doing beta dungeons, i had trouble on hos+hot because low dps you cant kill tentacles,and violet hold too hard.
Again make your own group and ask for 4k to 4k5,if people are impatient move on, they think its better to afk for 45 min in dalaran than playing for 45 min,i hate people for that mindset.(bruh 10 min gundrak is too much im out id rather wait 30 min for a 5gs party )
And i did some ulduar bosses and totc 25 normal with soft reservations but it took us around 3-4h per raid .
Overall i had a good experience between 3to 4,5k gs but after that i fee like its a real show with people having a speedrun brain mode and skip everything,and the sidereal grind is severe :30 dungeons for 1 item is wild.
So i logged off and wait 12/10 for rdf,less hassle than this bad party finder
You should get the shield block gloves, (refined ore gloves ilvl200 boe from HOS), then replace your legs and shoulders with Deadly Gladiator PvP set from Wintergrasp honor, huge increase in armor/stamina/threat and the resi will cover the crit cap.
Then you farm HC++ and upgrade bit by bit.
We do Heroic so it’s more like 45-50 min.
But then we also go Ulduar for Thorim, General, Yoggy & Algalon.
I play a lot of other stuff, so a few hrs/week on wotlk is enough.
All the stuff like seasonal events, Lore master, Tournament daily quests, I did all that back in 2008.
Also Mirage raceway (on horde) is very low pop, so trying to do some HC++ is just depressing, I rather log off.
