Getting stuck on a boss for 5 weeks with the same group of idiots who tolerated your idiocy for so long, then finally dropping it; that is why WoW is addictive. Whatever gets your character to that place is the way to go.

That’s the only reason i still play WoW indeed. I was about to quit after having played solo again in BFA, because it felt really pointless. I figured that before i go, i should really give it a shot and look for an easy going raiding guild to get into, to give the game a fair last chance.
I was very lucky to find just the right guild at the right time It made it worth to play the game again.

If you mean because of it being the only realm with a realm community left, then yes!
I played on PvP realms up until about a year ago, and coming over to Argent Dawn revitalized WoW for me. I even tried RPing which was odd at first but actually really fun to get into. I’d recommend those who can be respectful towards RP’ers to come over too, cause i can’t imagine playing on any other realm anymore!

I was very lucky to find just the right guild at the right time It made it worth to play the game again.

I faction swapped because everyone I knew went their separate ways, and I’m peeved off with Sylvanas - and sleepwalked into a guild of compatible souls. I’m back into raiding now, despite having quit and sworn never to do so again. We barely got curve ahead of 8.2, but that doesn’t matter. They’ve become my people, and I will work to get them through the things they want to do.

Tbh this character I’m posting on now was a character i boosted in legion and I felt such a good connection with the warlock class I ended up investing quite a bit of time in the weeks before BFA hit so I just decided to main this character, and I don’t think I’m ever going back. So for me, I did not feel cheap at all xD

I boosted this one to 110 when I had returned.
cause I wanted to see what’s the deal with BfA straight away.
dont feel cheap cause I have played paladins since TBC, saw it all tbh.

I boosted a Draenei Paladin for WoD - Pretty sure he’s still at 107, like he has been for years. I just don’t feel like a have any real connection to him; He just feels like a blank slate with no personality.

On the other hand, I have a Troll Warrior I boosted at around the same time and, whilst I’d be lying if I said I had the same connection to him as my leveled characters, I don’t have the same problem. It took quite a long time to develop, mind you; originally it felt the same as the Draenei.

I think probably the difference was that at the time I didn’t have a Horde main, so I went through the Horde story for the first time that xpac as the Troll. It made him feel like he fitted more into the world, whereas the boosted Draenei was an alt and always felt kinda out of place.

I’ve mostly avoided boosting since then.

Tl;Dr: I think if you’re someone who doesn’t connect with boosted characters like me, it is possible to develop a connection to them but it’s not easy.

spending you boost cause you are too bored to play with that class it makes sense why you abandon it.
however if you boost cause you are all to familiar with leveling this class and have a plan on how to have fun with it rotation you will most likely be fine.

for example I can boost 10 orc male any class and i won’t play any of them.
cause only good zugzug to me is a dead one.

Far more pain and tears involved with getting Curve than there is with levelling 1-120

True, but I didn’t state that I meant leveling in TBC (1-70) or WotLK (1-80). Progress alone is rather making connection between guild mates than with my char I mained hpally in WoD, then rsham in Legion, then switched again to hpally and now prot warrior and my biggest connection is with pally (since he was leveled without boost) and warrior (since it was my first main ever).
