You have to go back in time and be IRL or Goldshire friends with a GM or forum moderator to get that green status.

every sentence that starts with “you have to go back in time”
its not a good sign in my book

why ?
because i live my life right now! at this moment
that bothers me, why you cant achieve something because you are not a time traveler

You will find more MVP posters in the support threads where I assume they earned their MVP status

Punyelf is a lot more social on the general forums compared to the other MVPs that I mostly see on the customer support category, but I also see them in general from time to time.

Seems like something thats made for the CS forums and they just let it apply to this one as well. Not the end of the world, doubt the MVP are super pleased with it either considering the ridiculously negative reception so far.

ridiculus negatives yes

i say. people who love WoW and like the adjustments

You’ve completely missed Danellos?

I think they have different sections they mainly post in, but I don’t really see why it needs a marker.

The system used to do this years ago, mark MVP posts, then with the various forum changes they vanished. Now it’s back in a new format.

There are CS MVPs and Community MVPs. These two groups deal with different CMs. Each language has it’s own MVPs as well. Although I do also help in CS I am a Community MVP and I am not the only active MVP in GD.

I have seen some wild claims on the forums over the last 24 hours about MVPs but this discussion thread has been more reasonable so far.

Edit - just changed General Forum MVP to Community MVP. The phrase escaped me earlier.

I’m like 99% sure at this point, that they only implemented this for the customer support part of our forum, so they save money, and can just rely on players doing their job

Really? I don’t remember that. I got active in 2007. I kinda miss that forum look actually. It was nice to look at. Loved the avatars we had, but obviously a much less customizable format.

I don’t wanna be rude to you personally, but having a skip button to your opinions is something, that I don’t enjoy at all, and it’s something, that made me frown today

Jokes aside, it’s ok to have it on the CS-part of the forum, but I don’t think it should be in general discussion.

I hate it. I hated it when we had it before … however, this time the little green crowns lead to the ‘first CS MVP post’. But they don’t. They lead to the first any sort of MVP post.

Puny. you are doomed. Rule 4 will become like ortder 66 in star wars.

I remember it doing that as well.

I was actually offered MVP but turned it down due to not liking the attention. It was way back when there was a different mod team entirely - the one from the Versailles office… there was Vaneras and this lady whose handle I forget - she went to work for Deezer anyway, who visited us every year at DreamHack at our Danish scaffold in the corner of Hall D. Think Vaneras was attracted to the huge Dannebrog there. xD That part of knowing them was fun. Still miss it.

I don’t envy you three. On the one hand it’s nice to be recognised for great posts, but on the other hand it paints a target on your back. A target even I couldn’t help shooting at even though I knew it was a target on your back…

Also my first post in a thread in General is often me whinging about something (see my first post in this thread for example) which really isn’t helpful to anyone. If they absolutely have to implement it, they should change it to CS/tech/new players only and change the ‘first CS mvp post’ to ‘first mvp post’.

Oh, and I’m not a blue puddle any more - I have a head and shoulders

You are not being rude, and I can understand that jumping to food pictures in the middle of the ‘please don’t delete this thread’ is of little value to anyone.

Yes!!!

This is my first rodeo with it, though I know it existed in the past.

It doesn’t really serve a purpose. If it worked like the marked answer thing, then yes it would be helpful.

And that’s the weird thing. Occasionally blues check what people are saying in the CS forum and they mark posts as ‘solution’ if we’ve given the correct solution so people can find it in the future … so it doesn’t really need that. In the CS/Tech etc forums, they could have an icon leading to the thread marked as a solution.

I’ve heard that of a few helpful regulars. They were asked but declined.

I had seen greens get attacked for no reason before I became one, I did know what it was going to be like.
