Well I suppose it is relatively boring but there are plenty of hints about Ulduar and Arthas throughout which ARE interesting. At least to me. Also love the Wrathgate still. It’s just how it all links together at the end for me but I don’t tend to level there.
Also we can’t really compare wolk lore to now. Compare it with classic and TBC. It was way better than that. Even cata lore is better than wolk and well told.
Yeah, it’s neat but it’s just a cutscene, there were hardly any quests in the area. I’m sill tired of killing 20 scourge that attack a random alliance base in the middle of nowhere for the 3rd time.
Well I guess Grizzly Hills awaits me now, hoping it will be better.
In Outland at least I could get behind the lore, even if questing was tedious I could at least power through for the sake of the story.
The fact that non Human alliance races have mostly been on the sidelines in the zones I’ve done so far doesn’t really help.
Yeah they really had hit the end of the expat / quest ideas by the wrath gate. Considering the area could have been so good. The argent dawn - new camps - had a great opportunity to make it like plague lands 2.0.
Alas. They waited till shadowlands pre-patch to make quests in a 13 year old expansion.
I really really wish they just made an expat to cover all of the original Azeroth. While levelling it stays as it is like a “memory” and at end game you get a proper horde vs alliance style Azeroth end game - each faction can fight to control map zones on EVERY area all the way to city gates. Like planetside.
Ahhhhh. Dreams for proper world PvP. Like plague lands towers. Or hellfire peninsula that was so poorly implemented.
Yeah it IS really boring, especially when they remove major parts of the storyline for no reason what so ever, such as the followup march into Undercity through the sewers to confront Putricide / Sylvanas for their treachery at the Wrathgate.
