I for once am happy the old Scarlet Monastery was easy to unlock

There is nothing amazing inside to warrant anything as stupid as old Scholo or old Naxx unlocks.
I hate when they make these “secrets” that basically require a bunch of basement dwellers abusing datamining to find out the weirdest combinations no sane person would ever discover on their own.

I hope they bring back all old versions of removed dungeons just for the sake of it - there was never any reason to remove legacy stuff completely - I never liked revamps but I understand why they were done but at the same time removal of nostalgic stuff feels bad.

So yeah, it was nice to see old Scarlet Monastery and grab a couple missing mogs.

EDIT: I hate the secrets not because I don’t participate but 1) none of them I, or any lone wolf, could discover - so you are either bound to miss out or follow a detailed guide that is just a tedious gameplay… boring and sometimes frustrating lol

The drops in the old SM dungeons are detailed in this article, if anyone is interested

I found it useful especially as ATT doesn’t seem to recognise the place at the moment.

It’s been nice that they’ve been bringing stuff back. I agree some stuff is too secret and you’re only aware if you follow sites like wowhead and are actually paying attention at the time it’s released.

I don’t really see why it’s a big deal putting old content back in the game. New content is better and keeps players occupied longer.

If anything its a waste of resources, and it shows by the lack of content Dragonflight has received.

Not got the key yet. But I’ve only run it a dozen times maybe.
Does this have a higher chance on your first kill? Or should I do this with loads of alts? I ran it on quite a few alts yesterday.

you can buy a key on AH for a fairly low price - a couple k at most even on dead servers

Definitely, my younger self missed out on several transmogs back in the day. Hopefully we’ll see more decisions like it in the future.

I ran this dungeon SO many times back in the original timeframe and believe I have all the loot, but will pop in to see if anything shows up across the Mail, plate, leather, cloth types.

I had the original key across multiple chars, and got the new version key on my 1st try on HH - the mount, pet, manuscript still elude me though :thinking:

Did you do the hard mode? I got it on the first kill that way. It should be cheap on the AH, if not now then soon because you can obtain it from SM too once you unlock the old version. Should be plenty of keys around in not too long :slight_smile:

If current content would been written good, and less of a proaganda rally, it would not be big deal.

(Although I think it’s nice that we get back some of vanila content in retail, for nostalgia and transmog options)

I don’t believe people care about pixellated transmog options - I mean I sometimes use those but I don’t think people really NEED those old texture items in this game ;p

But I still think it’s very nice they brought all this back. SM was one of my favorite places in WoW ;p

Not only that! I still haven’t unlocked the Nax because I cannot do the timed part in-time. I can’t see me ever achieving that, unfortunately :confused:

I honestly haven’t even looked into that yet. A friend got me to use my toy for him and a friend when it was first added to the game.

It’s on my some day list.
