I feel warlocks are incredibly strong if left to freecast, the problem is just warriors, rogues and demon burgers eating you alive in 4 seconds through all the defensives.

Yep back to glass cannons as drestro, so few warlocks now in bgs, vesta you forgot mm and mm hunters eat destro.
so much quality of life as a hunter compared to a lock in bgs makes me wonder If i should still progress my warlock, apart from the occasional bg when we do shine, we die alot but guess we still have fun sometimes.
Affliction used to be my go to, great damage and better survivability just doesnt appeal as much as seeing them bolts splat.
