2 weeks ago I bought war within, 90% of the times I am leveling. Did 10 battlegrounds only where I was always top 1 or top second healer. Facing endless whispers or rage “wtf heal” or “where are the heals” from people who overextend, go 1v8 and die. The only thing I said just once is “if you are going 1v8 and dying, I can’t heal you.”
And one joke about self pleasuring in the guild chat, with people I know and with people that we constantly joke like that for years (people who definitely never report me).
Now I get a warning for being toxic. People are not happy with the healing and just report me for that is the only thing I can assume because only these 10 bgs I interacted with other people. And I don’t type in the chat, like at all.
Just enter a random bg, every third sentence is a rage profanity, every tenth name is racist or just hitler. So, these people are fine for years, but I am the criminal. I am the offender. My language is bad for people who are not satisfied from healing when they heroic leap into 10 enemies. K I get it then. If I can’t heal 1v10 encounter, then it’s a reportable offense. Thanks for encouraging me to never play healer again. As if the role was not dead already.
This is my fault for not reporting these people. From now on, even if I see a word like “dumb” in the chat, I’m gonna report. Cuz that’s what blizz wants. This is the type of game it wants to be. Where people report for anything they want.
If you think an automated system (a power in players hand) is not going to be abused, you are delusional and you don’t play a single game of your own company. Literally have 0 motivation to enter another bg right now. BGs that I have been doing since cata. Bgs that I literally keep buying this game for it. This is not blizz L. This is blizz epic failure.

This is the type of stuff that makes people look at you like you took a big ol’ dookie in the middle of the road while everyone was watching.
They’ll look at the dookie weird, they’ll look at you weird, then try to avoid engaging with either you or the dookie.
Its also a PG13+ game, in case the ol’ dookie on the road analogy doesn’t land.
If that was true you wouldn’t have gotten a warning, warnings are issued after a living human has investigated a high number of reports. I am willing to bet my left pinkie toe that you were a lot more colourfull with them.
The system can automate some punishment, iirc silencing if someone gets a high number of reports in a short span of time as a safety measure (again pg13 game). Abuse of this system is also a bannable offense so if everything you say is true which I doubt the people who did ‘abuse mass report’ you will get in trouble for it.
First. I am sure the warning is justified, people never tell the whole story.
Second. A warning does not mean account actions, yet.
Third. Dont use the chat in PvP. Disable chat messages from addons like gladius. I never respond in shuffle and barely write in blitz. Managed to get elite, so seems to work just fine.
And btw. I report often. Dayli. And often get blizzard feedback that accounts were actioned. If you use the chatt, dont use nono words. Report offensive names.
Pro tip. Instead of writing just teabag them. If they start to spam you with nono messages add a rightclick report on top.
Rated soloq PvP. And i report everything which is considered a nono. Because its against tos and i dont like to be called names. And brings me enormous joy to get feedback that accouts had been sanctioned.
like a year ago i had this nutjob literaly stalking me on wolk classic after i pressed need on random blue drop in daily fos zerg
after he was totaly ignored by trade chat and laught at by my guildies he then started to literlay stalk me in dalaran every time i logged in and opening trade window so that i give him imaginary amoutn of gold for that
took 4 days before GMs banned him in game
you can never know how stangers on internet will react.
if 4 guidleis decide to report you they can report anything and if they do it in short time algorythms will automaticly give you infraction
doesnt matter what you write because algorythm doesnt care.
You got a warning. Meditate on your mistakes and move on. What is your issue? You don’t get warnings for 1 person reporting you. Had to be a mass reporting.
A long post which does not state what the offensive terms were. We all use phrases that we are common with. I took a warning early last year for over using the word muppet in vote to kick messages. It doesn’t matter that I genuinely thought the term well placed and there was a slurry of trolls knocking about. It falls foul of the TOS. Now I just replace it with bad player for everything.
Learn not to vent anger. Just stick something neutral in place of whatever it is you are using. And incidentally being a healer or tank doesn’t give you more rights than a DPS. We all have to abide by the same rules.
If you have issues that are so bad that you cannot help yourself breaking the TOS, or staying within the TOS causes you so much anxiety, then understand that a social game may not be for you. Life is too short to get so wound up.
