I got some questions regarding to the SF mode

Hi Guys i have been trying to find information regarding the topic about SF in hardcore but i cant find anything that is actually substantial enough to satisfy my questions.

  1. does the new hardcore SF in february is gonna be in a new fresh hardcore server wich has that restriction from the creation of your character?

  2. regarding to the SF mode itself, so we cant trade, use mail and AH, ok i got it, but we can group for quests and dungeons through the Looking for group chat i am assuming, (already know the dungeons got a 24h reset)

  3. regarding to the fact this SF only allow the AH until lv 60 and avoid the trade, would you guys think it will be the perfect idea to avoid bots and gold farming? or that wont stop them, if that is the case, what you guys think?

There is unsatisfying amount of information about upcoming self-found mode indeed.

“We have a new optional ruleset coming to hardcore.”

“Players that opt in to this mode won’t be able to trade, use the mail or use the auction house until you reach max level.”

“Self Found is basically you are working by yourself, as far as the items you have.”

From this little information we got at Blizzcon and from interview we pretty much presume this:

  1. SF is gonna be only an option at character creation on already existing hardcore servers.
  2. Groups will be possible in SF, that’s why it’s only SF (self-found) and not SSF (solo self-found). Trade, mail and auction house will be disabled until you reach max level.
  3. This option will have minimal impact on the issue of bots and gold buying because the restrictions are gone at level 60. Most gold that players buy is spend at lvl 60. And as an opt in SF player you will still be playing on the same server with non SF players. The bot influenced economy will remain.

Other than this, the exact form of self-found mode is yet to be officialy released. If anyone has even more information, I would also appreciate it.

Well if they are on new servers, it could be so fun but personally I don’t prefer playing on old servers based on bot farmed economy.

I don’t think bot users will level 60 to use ah, it could be so good

So the SF will be in existing servers and it will be an option at the beginning of the creation of the character, ok make sense
