I’ve been sleeping restlessly for awhile now because of the heat. I’ve been playing Aion Classic for the past week and yesterday I played 9.1 for a few hours.
And in my sleep it hit me: Shadowlands was actually meant to be Aion 2 and was developed as such by NCSoft before Blizzard bought it and integrated it to the Warcraft universe… It all made sense in the dream: Why Shadowlands doesn’t feel like a real WoW expansion but rather like a Korean MMORPG, the aesthetics (Bastion’s angelic race is just like Elyos in Aion) the grindy nature of tasks etc.
I’ve stated this at the first month of SL release.
While Bastion is a sort of Aion. Ardenweald / Korthia is more of a Tera game. Maw more of a flat boring Dark souls. (But it’s just design wise)
In general one of the main downfalls for me with SL is how it is separated from WoW universe. The only reason we go back is to hit Stormwind or Orgrimmar for AH or duals and chill when bored. Wish things were more like Argus in Legion where you will be jumping between places.
You should reduce your game play time in a day. Your conscious is getting overwhelmed by your gameplay on computer/ps. Also remember to rest your eyes every 2 hours by looking far away like 6 meters and wash with cold water.
PS: Weeb is good but dangerous especially other ways ( you oughta know what i m saying )
Tell that to my dream-self! But in all honesty the SL zones look and feel more like zones from an asian mmorpg than WoW. If I played SL for the first time without knowing it’s a WoW expansion and someone told me it’s an Asian WoW clone I could easily believe it!
