I have 2 days played and i'm level 26

Oh dw, you’re actually pretty fast.

I’m on like 5 days /played and level 30. I’m just having fun maxing out professions and questing in weird places and helping people out.

I take about 4-7 hours per level usually simply because I end up helping people, ganking alliance scum, battling through caves for that lovely Iron Deposit, Gold Vein or Truesilver Vein, and in general just goofing around.

Classic is simply magical.

I think it is because everything matters, the grey drops, greens to sell on the AH to fund buying my next set of skills at 18 (armoury has not updated on this character yet).

I believe that if the lens with which you view the world as you play through it ( characters, talents, abilities etc provide depth and immersion ) then the game will take care of itself pretty much.

I cant wait to start brewing my poisons when that was removed back in the day it was a layer of immersion that was lost for me.
I dropped and 8 slot bag Sunday and I was stoked it is the little things that matter.

And this is what really matters. Not how quickly you do something or how far you go, but how much fun you have.

the only real challenge quests in the barrens?

and trying to be careful not to pull either of those thunder lizard 21s on the way to this camp taurajo npc sister to give the last kill named mob quest

when everyone has 5 lvl 60 alts and full MC geared already lololol

I’m on the same boat with OP. “Inefficient” leveling rules.

I’ll unavoidably level twice as fast or so than back in vanilla (that’s what 1.12 feral specc does compared to 1.1 resto), but I’m still doing quests, only really running dungeons to finish of questlines for the zone, and I just spent 3-4 hours mining to get my mining skill more close to my level (and did some incidental badlands quests along the way). The “wins” for lvl 60 were 15 years ago, why pretend there’s something new to rush to?

I’ve worked it out for me 8-10 (possibly more) months.
Don’t care, I’m enjoying every minute I’m getting in the game.
I’m being slowed down cause I can’t settle on a class, so my highest is 12 at the moment.

Well it’s great to return to almost how exactly how I remember my rogue to be! Though I really have the desire to play an aff warlock too! I used to love grinding on a little lock I made back in 2005 with siphon life / drain life and of course nightfall procs

Level 26 is OK for a couple of days /played. So far I’ve personally leveled a hunter to 40, a mage to 42 and a priest to 33 (or 34, can’t remember). I’m taking my time, but I am forced to reroll often to play with my friends who are roughly at your level.

Welcome home!

Happy gaming mate!

Doesn’t seem so slow to me. To me the only thing that matters is having fun along the way
I couldn’t care less about streamers, speed leveling and aoe dungeon runs.

My main is now 34, probably around 3 days played and I’m poor as dirt, since I also leveled professions along the way, incl. fishing and cooking.
No way I’ll have my mount at 40, but I don’t care at all, since I’m having so much fun and just loving playing Classic and exploring everything again

I have 6 days /played and I’m 24. And I don’t think it’s slow! It is too fast! I wish I could turn off experience gains to slow down leveling a little bit.

Man, it feels good to see some positivity on this forum. Good on you, OP - glad to hear you’re enjoying it! I’m leveling fairly fast, but I’m finding I keep hitting up dungeons as the quests turn green / grey. Still, only level 34. The longest leg of the journey to go yet!

<Side-eyes Stranglethorn Vale>

Exactly this. I’m purposefully logging out outside inns or cities to not get double xp while leveling. I’m doing dungeons at relatively higher levels than required to avoid too much xp gains. And I selectively go for the most fun quests in as many zones as possible.

I’m now lvl 24. I just cleared Redridge but I still want to do Ashenvale, some quests in Stonetalon, and hopefully in Wetlands as well. And on top of that I still need to run Stockades and BFD. I have pretty much ruled out questing in Duskwood, which I’ll do on a later human alt.

First world problems…
