I have no gold. Still

I don’t think that’s true as I looked through the patch notes before and it shows as being added as part of WOTLK and that it costs 10g from a trainer at about level 20 or so. The comments at the time being that it’s basically free considering how much it adds.

it was 1000g in wotlk and before dualspec i usually wasted 500gold/week to respec for half a year.

Wow-wiki’s page is wrong.

Dual Talent Specialization (or dual spec) is a skill players at level 30[1] can learn in exchange for 10g[2] from their class trainers. Introduced in patch 3.1.0, dual talent specialization is the ability to switch between two talent specs, glyph sets, and action bars on each level 30 character. Originally 1000g[2], dual talent specialization has been reduced to a mere 10g[2] most likely to offer players a new experience with their chosen class and/or specific talent selections. It should also be noted that before patch 4.0.3 it was required for players to be level 40 instead of 30, this change was also probably done to offer players more options at a lower level

It was 1k originally.

was just about to say the same thing, you beat me to it by a minute, but yea, dualspec was released in 3.1.0 and was available originally to players lvl 40 and above for the princely sum of 1000g

Oh yeah I see that, I must’ve been looking at the later patch notes when I checked the changes at the prepatch compared.

I just activated the game when pre-patch was available, playing casually i don’t have artisan flying, have dual spec and normal flying, and got about 4000 gold from finishing quests at level 70 during last week. I would say that making gold is easy enough.

no, you only need like 5g to change your spec the first time. dual spec is just more cost efficient in the long run if you intend to use it often

Well what makes people have that amount of gold is not only by quests or dailys. U need people willing to pay 6 gold for stack of Light leather or 50 gold for stack of copper ore and so on…

Just buy the gold mate

Got 70…had 500g…continued questing in Nagrand and now getting close to finish all quests in Nethermoon. 3000g…

Next up: Shadowmoon valley & Blade Edge and haven’t even done the dungeons yet. It adds up fast.

Quest: Kill 10 critters somewhere, 12g reward + 3g item, get random drops… 10 minutes of work, receive 20g. If I just continue playing 1h-2h per evening, I will hit 5k before the 27.

You know what money is, right? If there was nothing to pay for it wouldnt be valuable.
Also there’s always the cheaper option to respec.

About artisan flying - cmon bruh, it’s Artisan Flying. Next ur gonna say you dont wanna pay for repairs, mounts, professions, skills… And gold isnt that hard to come by if you just play the game instead of afking in stormwind.

Just yesterday went from 7 to 8.2k gold by doing dailies and 60 shadowmoon quests in like 3-4hours.

And I wasnt even pushing it. Had some breaks and even ZA raid in between.

Wotlk is from 2008, Don’t expect too much QoL stuff like in shadowlands

I might make 200g in 3-4 hours, if I am lucky. Each quest is like 8g-11g plus loot. To make so much gold as you claim you’d need to do, say, 75 quests + loot. That is one quest every 3 minutes - non stop. Really?

10g per quest, 200g per 3-4 hours. How are you only completing 5 quests per hour? Many quests will give you over 20g btw.
I was blasting 20-30 per hour when I was finishing loremaster of outlands. I made a few thousand gold while just going for an achievement.
Stop being such a victim, poor you, much sad.
Mmorpg’s require work to progress, if this is not your cup of tea or you don’t have the time for this, then mmorpg’s are not for you.

I’ve played through all of TBC and I still just have the basic flying mount and no dual spec and well… about 40g. Just never bothered farming for things I don’t need…
