I purposely wrote this title to bait you into this because you exist in huge numbers. You realize how ridiculous you are when your are quitting after losing 1-2 rounds or being an afk and demanding “better teammates?” The system allows you to switch with partners, and I can’t believe people are still having ME GOOD U BAD moments. Like if your partners are so terrible, why don’t just tolerate them and the next round crush them? Oh you can’t right? You think TEAMMATE BAD ME GOOD but you still lost against them. Doesn’t that give you like SLIIIIGHTLiest idea in your two digit IQ sauce brain that maybe you are the problem? That DH that crushes everyone, HE WILL BE YOUR TEAMMATE too.
How BAD you are that you are losing against bad teammates?
Honestly, seriously, if you are playing solo Q and always thinking that your teammates are bad, you have HUUUUGE ego problems. Not even problems, you are a walking ego-catastrophy.
Right now leaving SS doesn’t punish you at all. You lose CR but your MMR stays the same, which means that you will just have an easy time getting your rating back later on – just think how fast if was for you to climb on your first early games. So, bailing out at bad score becomes a strategy of sorts, simple and reliable, as it gives you a free pass for more attempts in some thirty minutes, with laughable downsides.
Minmaxers realize that and they /afk with cool head and zero emotions, knowing exactly what they are doing. Weak-willed? No. System abuse. But nothing personal, this is just the shortest way to success.
So, this has to change on game design level. The consequences of leaving a match early should be immediate, real and weighty, stacking up quick and extending to all characters on your account. There’s no point in appealing to leavers’ conscience in threads like that because this is the same mindset that drives people who wintrade, hoard farmbots, or advertise their carries in Newcomers channels. Only hard, real punishment will matter.
Step 1:
Start on a fresh spec or toon that has 0 games played that you know how to play well.
Step 2:
First lobby try to 5-6 win it and leave if you don’t get a good lobby (MMR/CR can’t drop at 0 games played).
Your base MMR is 1500 so this will shoot you to 1800 with only 300 CR.
Step 3:
Due to MMR inflation, you only need 1-2 more lobbies with 5-6 wins and you’ll be at around 2k MMR at around 1k CR at this point.
Step 4:
Play matches at 2k MMR and any lobby with 4 wins or higher you will keep that MMR and raise it but 3 wins or lower you leave to save your MMR.
During this time your CR will continue to rise.
Step 5:
At around 2300-2400 MMR which should be 8-10 lobbies of wins from fresh, you should be around 1800-2k CR and at this point you leave lobbies until you hit 1200-1400 CR while maintaining 2300-2400 MMR.
This method guarantees that every win you make in the 1200-1400 bracket at that MMR will net you 500-600 points a win, meaning within 2-3 wins in lower brackets will get you 2400.
This can all be done within 20-30 lobbies if you are consistent with your spec and can win, and this method is how multiple people on the ladder have hit 2400 even on alts as abusing MMR is the easiest method to climb.
This is also why a lot of people leave matches because MMR isn’t affected by leaving, only CR which you can make back in a single win.
Welcome to literally any pvp game with soloq matchmaking. I’ve played league for 12 years and this whole thread could basically be copy pasted onto that forum as well.
Nothing to do but move on and focus on yourself. The players who constantly blame others will be stuck in low rank forever anyways so with some luck you wont have to see them again.
I do because I kept healing that useless *ss despite the fact that he never pressed any button and cosplayed a target dummy.
At low rating you should get points for going even, but here as a healer you get shuffled dps with even lower rating than you which even results in rating loss for being even
They need to completely separate rounds won from rating gains. You should be able to gain rating with 0 wins if the performance is good and lose rating with 6 wins if your performance is bad.
It takes an absurd amount of games and time to get where you should be without this and it’s completely pointless to even queue it as a healer due to this.
Played on shaman yday and got “this resto shaman” from some zug zug and then last week don’t stand in open etc. Playing a x tier healer is painstaking and they have no idea. Two ppl pummelling you is be enough and your going to die fast but even quicker with no help. But the Zug zug just think they can mash some buttons and win. Now switch to evoker and heal and it’s very different as not trained. A lot of the problem is class balance as usual as some classes are pure garbage and have no way to survive with the insane DPS that can be put out in seconds.
They already measure it beyond winning in OW but the mistake they’ve done is that you can’t lose rating if you win or gain rating if you lose in that game.
