I heard rumors of Dracthyr being able to be warriors and mages in prepatch. is this true

No. What has been said is that some time later in the new expansion, Dracthyr will have other classes available to them. We don’t know when or which classes.

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has confirmed that the Dracthyr race will have more class options in The War Within. However, this feature may not be ready in time for the expansion’s launch.

This update was highlighted in a tweet by MrGM, who shared insights from a London content creator interview about the Dracthyr.

  • The plan is to introduce the ability for Dracthyr to play as other classes in War Within.
  • Emphasis on playing in Visage form.
  • Required animations for other classes are actively being worked on.
  • The implementation is unlikely to happen at launch, but targeted for early in the expansion cycle.

An Dracthyr using the power of the aspects as a paladin would with the light would be an good explaination to have them too!

I already have a couple of pandaren carpets in my garrison, maybe a sofa made from Dratchyr skin should be my next goal :thinking:

I would like more visage forms than class choice.

I want to be Tauren not an blood elf/human hybrid :dracthyr_yay_animated:

I don’t mind the elf/human hybrid, but I do mind the ugly scales you can’t turn off. Some hairstyles will hide them pretty well, but still. Their eyes are also highly creepy to me; they should get some more choices imo.

Also; if Dracthyr could be hunters, and you have a choice to stay in your visage form permanently, I might be tempted to give it a go for a bit. But if the draconic form is forced in certain situations, that’s a dealbreaker for me.

Having said that though; what I really want is dual coloured hair on other races!

Simply because nothing says “FU, Fantasy Traditions” like a mail-wearing bipedal cow using deep breath to fly over half the battlefield. :rofl:

I want the opposite. I’d like to be able to race-change my evoker to something else. Or choose my visage form (not an elf/human) and have it permanently up. It’s not that I dislike my dragon, but I have started to prefer classes with small models (like Vulpera) as they make movement feel faster.

Probably gonna get the “generic classes”. Dk, paladin, shaman, druid, dh surely wont anytime soon.

Good. Evoker didn’t really click with me and I don’t really like the dragon form very much - the visage form, however, is very much to my tastes.

Yes, paladins pls. I just hope this “Emphasis on playing in visage form” won’t mean visage will be forced.
