I reaaaly hope for a new class or spec like the bard or the tinker…
Don’t much care for a new race, sub-race or sub-sub-race.

I am convinced we they will have atleast one kicker for us tonight.
I mean why would they tell us not only the theme and overall story direction with the blood elves and the main feature with housing and then still make a big thing out of the trailer and releasing it on the Gamescom wich they need to pay money for?
Player Housing new feature announced.
“Constant mortgage grinding.”
“Complete daily activities to keep Blizzard from repossessing your house”
Marketing.
Just imagine the following scenario:
-Cool new cinematic
-New feature: Player Housing
…end of gamescom.
…no new class, spec…nothing…just more of the same, with the added new housing grind-fest
Blizzard:
“I would like to thank the players for making this happen.
Thank you all, have a good night.”
Yep and if it goes like that the whole Gamescom thing was a waste of money and the community will be angry cause there was nothing to actually learn from the typically epic hype inducing announcement trailer
I wouldn’t be disappointed if there’s no new class. Nothing beats hunter anyway.
But if there isn’t, there should be something new and interesting for existing classes.
Maybe the start of ‘prestige specs’ or something. Or just some cosmetic skins for class specs; that’d be neat.
Man, WoW’s playerbase is just the worst when it comes to consuming content. Blizzard announced a feature that has been requested for over a decade, most likely has been in the making for several years, would probably be one of the most robust housing systems in the entire genre, and it’s already not enough, even though it’s not even out yet! Blizzard will never be able to keep up with it’s playerbase when it comes to offering new content. Never.
I’m looking forward to having a house in some neighborhood.
Not sure what else… Priest is superior so I don’t see how a new class would help for anything.
Maybe it has to do with other MMOs, like TESO offering this exact feature looong before? The earliest example I can think of was Star Wars Galaxies player housing back from 2001.
Different preferences.
For instance I care minus for housing, I will feel annoyed if all I get after a dungeon is a new chair because housing items now clutter up my loot table and decrease my chance of getting a new gear piece.
So if all midnight have to offer is a feature I have no interest in, its gonna feel like a hollow expansion not even worth the money.
Meanwhile I have a lot of friends who are going wild over the housing and would consider this feature a key addition to the game.
But I am sure Midnight has more to offer than houses, there is the possibility of a new etherial race, new transmogs and cosmetics to earn and hopefully some fun new zones to explore, including more dragon races.
Pretty sure only the casuals requested player housing. I find it hard to believe the people who push high content care. I’d say they’re probably worried that player housing is coming at the expense of something else considering how understaffed they are atm with the lay offs.
Casual feature or hardcore addition? Who wants to play gardener? Not those who max, ofc. They’re always on turbo, full-on until sleep and then all over again. Tough guys for sure.
Turbo doesn’t care about chairs and lighting, only about max speed.
Yes, of course we’re all worried what’s going on with the company. I always think: Man, did they not add another sausage now that this guy’s getting faster run speed?
I try to micro-manage their employment, sending letter on letter, but all I ever got was:
“Thank you for your earnest letter, we will consider this carefully.”
but it’s exactly like it never even reached the board of directors.
Perhaps the items gained will be similar to cosmetics, yes? That would make sense. That won’t be too burdensome to click on.
I’m like you though, one of the more infuriating things with this game is the constantly filling inventory with things that are more or less difficult to be rid of. It’s a battle.
I’d suppose they’ve had a think on this and put things like this in a separate looting.
Excluding Vanilla which was the start, we got new classes at:
Getting a new class for 12.0 would kind of fit with the “schedule”, but I’m afraid the earliest we’ll get a fully-fledged new class will be 13.0 or 14.0. New specs though are likely.
Instanced content has been increasingly suffering since BFA. Shadowlands had at least 1 raiding tier cut. The higher-ups saw that the playerbase ate the Fated Season system, so they planned Dragonflight with just 3 tiers/season and another fated 4th season, while simultaneously reducing number of dungeons and raid bosses. Then TWW further reduced number of raid bosses (we are down to 24 bosses during an entire expansion) while number of dungeons may have bounced up a bit (9 dungeons and 1 megadungeon) but only 4 of those dungeons are unique areas and the rest are overworld parts just instanced or old content brought back; even the 2nd raiding tier was for its 70% content just the overworld map.
I expect Midnight to go to 7-boss raiding tiers and possibly only 2 dungeons not being part of the overworld.
This is not going to happen.
I don’t know why you’d even think that.
Do content exclusive mounts take up a gear slot? No they don’t.
I’d like this much more.
New specs and maybe even roles for classes, would be very interesting.
If they wanna follow the MCU story they did, maybe we get Superhero Talents.
Can you be sure it won’t?
can you be sure it won’t be treated like it isn’t an extra reward like a mount would be?
But that is besides the point, it is a worry I have because it would kinda suck if all I get from a run is something I don’t want to engage with.
I think most could be considered “superhero talents” in WoW, dhs even got the iconic superman/homelander laser beams.
Sure? No. But confident it won’t be like that, based on what they’ve done in the past with non-gear rewards? Yes.
Well worrying about something that is very unlikely to happen isn’t good.
That’s like worrying every day that you might get hit by a truck. Or choke on a piece of food. Or that you might get some rare disease. Etc.
If you go down that road, you’ll worry all the time and that’s not a good way to live.
I may or may not have undocumented anxiety,
Given Blizzard can’t balance the classes we have, the last thing we need is yet another class.
