I bought this mount and I don’t even own a car. I get to work by bicycle because it is free. I have never thought expensive cars were cool or worth spending money on.

So called “normal people” have more than enough disposable income to spend 78 € on something that gives them joy.
Is there even one person who bought that thing with real money? I just used gold. No sane person would pay 78 bucks for that mount. Every one who needs it makes money with the ah and has enough gold, every one else does not need it.
i did not buy one, but i gifted 3 to 3 of my friends. but not with ingame gold though.

The moment I decide I don’t like the direction the game is going I’ll unsubscribe and Blizzard can’t do anything about it. The only thing they can do is improve the game if they want me to come back.

lol the solution is so simple it hurts… dont use it in BGs. This goes for any NPC mount.
By that logic, anything in the world that isn’t permanent, is a bad deal. You bought a car? That’s a bad deal, it’s gonna break within the next 200 years. Bought a new phone? Bad deal! Thing’s gonna break within 50 years. Oh you bought new shoes?! BAD DEAL!! THEY’RE GONNA BREAK SOME DAY.
Cmon bro, the game has been going for +20 years, even if it only lasts another 5, it’s still a good deal imo, saves me time since I’ll never need to find an AH/Mailbox again.
The worst of all is that you will very likely die one day. Makes you question why you even got born then, doesn’t it?

They will not fix anything regardless of the existence of store mounts. Have you been in The Dawnbreaker lately? That dungeon is still a mess months after release.

Long term is nothing. Once the game closes or you lose access to the account it’s gone. It’s a fact.
Also, it’s use requires a sub as well.
And no, it doesn’t equate to real objects. The digital goods can go away at any time blizzard says so. You don’t actually own anything.
The car you bought doesn’t go away if the manufacturers stop making them or closes down.
It 100% is a bad deal (unless you buy it with gold). Doesn’t mean the convenience isn’t nice though. As i said, even if it’s value was manipulated, it’s short term convenience. But, if you cannot see how it’s manipulative, you better prepare for even “better” deals coming up.

It’s your money. You can spend it as you feel like. Not my problem. 
But, when i see a horse i can call it a horse. Can’t stop me from saying that. It’s value was manipulated, it’s 100% not worth the money. But, it’s nice to have. So, go ahead and spend it. I don’t care. But that you were played, you were. We all were. The mount is worth 0 euros/dollars. Could have easily added AH and mail features on the UI at no additional cost (just the sub). How much would you pay for it then?
