I Miss Faction-Specific Quests in WoW

Levelling in Legion Remix has reminded me how much I miss faction-specific quests. Now? Playing as Alliance feels the same as playing Horde. No difference. No flavour. Just bland. Bland like beans on toast.

I was a Horde main in Legion, and now replaying it as Alliance, the questing feels like a breath of fresh air. Somehow, it does not feel repetitive. Doing Suramar and Stormheim, for example, I was like, “Oh, this was their perspective!” That sense of unique faction storytelling is something I truly feel like missing in the modern WoW.

Thanks for reading my TED Rant.

Apart from a few in stormheim i can not recall many more then that.

I miss them too. It was like getting to play the expansion twice in BfA for example.

Suramar too, at least you can see the perspective of Tyrande and etc.

it got to the point that a ‘horde adventurer’ is the one to accompany Anduin throughout the Hallowfall campaign

it’s just laughable at this point

horde and alliance are now brother in arms .

i get that.

but they got so lazy doing horde/alliance perspectives that as horde you can accompany the king of stormwind throughout a zone campaign.

it’s just ridiculous

well in all honesty anduin in his current form looks more like a delegate himself then a king accompanying you .the maw seems to have broken him beyond repair.

and for the current warchief of horde i have not seen him much in tww .it looks most like he is enjoying his vacation somewhere on beach in azeroth while you run his errands :joy:

i honestly have no idea who’s the current warchief, do we have one ?

also, the alliance should come and take their king back and keep an eye on him, he’s clearly unfit to wander on his own.

How very dare you

They were a neat novelty in vanilla that have overstayed their welcome by 20 years.

No, you have a council now, because giving one person absolute power over the Horde… hasn’t worked out well for them.

No thanks, while i agree Anduin is unfit to be left wandering on his own, he’s even more unfit to lead the Alliance, or indeed anything else more contentious than a boyscout-troop.

it is not the horde’s job to look after him or babysit him either

Interesting

i always thought Lorthemar will take the mantle and just be warchief for life.

to me he seems like the only sane person in that faction.

Both factions need a serious shake up that will make them walk the path of war against each other.

And our characters need to be exiled from their respective factions and become mercenaries, so that we can do all quests from both factions, old and new.

Cheers.

I half agree. I don’t miss them perse, but they did add just a little bit of extra replayability.

What I miss more is class quests. I want to be treated like a hunter. Be referred to as a hunter. Be asked to do things specific to being a hunter.

That was cool during BfA. And I think if could still be done despite not having a faction war. Or if not faction specific quests, then at least race or class specific ones!

Yes I loved that most about Legion. Here I am, one of the greatest champions of the Light, standing next to Anduin and Faerin who is struggling to relight the beacon and not even being asked to help. Or heal people. Hurdur I can do more than hit stuff wif hammer?

That’s exactly why he’s unfit for the job, mental instability seems to have been a job requirement…

A level-headed person would see that war will only weaken everybody, can’t have that in a warchief, imagine that.

Wonder why?
