I miss gold farming

Do you have maxxed (or close to that) profession equipment and skill trees? Just the mount of tier-3 bismuth should get you more than 20k in that timeframe at 80g per Bismuth.

If you have an Engineering alt, you can “passively” make some good 10k+ per week from creating tier-3 Handful of Bismuth Bolts from tier-1 and tier-2 Bismuth through dumping Concentration on it.

Because of bots and multiboxers.

And what is Blizzard going to do about this? I mean, I’m poor as ever. Even worse than in Cata. My way to make money has always been gathering. I have no idea how to do it otherwise as most seem to be grind heavy… And i have no time to bring 8 hours on something. I actually still want to play the game, you know?

No. Not buying the token.

Hardly any around in retail, bots yes.

there are tons and tons of multiboxers in retail you just dont know where to look and when they come online.
they go in dead realms in 3 Am in the morning when everyone is sleeping.

remove the spaces.

I REALLY DONT KNOW WHY SOME OF PEOPLE IN THIS WEBSITE ARE TRYING TO HIDE THINGS.
but till the day i leave wow ill keep bringing more proofs and i will DESTROY those gold sellers and botts and people that are doing it in 2x4.
more than 1000 of you are gone and i will keep going ( not you i mean those people )

They do stuff about it, but the bots always come back in full force. It’s another arms race where Blizzard is always the loser. But considering the fact that I had to abandon Leatherworking with tens of rare recipes and get Mining in its place due to raw materials no longer being cheap on the Auction House, I’d say Blizzard has “helped” real gatherers. If bots were always the absolute winners, raw materials would be very cheap at the AH.

Every day I meat at least 2 different double druid gatherers, sometimes more than 10 pairs. In some old zones I encounter trains of them, and can confirm it because I have enabled Profession output in the chat window, and I get 5+ different names all interacting with the same node within 1 second.

So how do you know the difference between them and bots from just from looking?

You both know that multiboxers are allowed to gather right? So long as it’s manual and not using any software/hardware to mirror commands.

A BOTT only moves in one direction with un natural ways of flying for herbs and ore.
but these multiboxers are the copies of one druid with weird name
they only come in this small land of hollow fall in each realm. one of them plants a herb and the rest loot it. its like one dude that loots a herb 10x time with his copies.
and when you attack them all of those copies uses convoke spells all at the same time in moonkin form.

also the guy keep change his realm after each time that they clear the small farming land in hollowfall and they all go to prowl at the same time.

im baning these kind of people for years. i know every detail.

a bott is very simple like martine in my paladin realm that is botting for 3 months day and night now but since its a dead realm no one is there to report him but few people.

if you want more come in the game and ill show them to you in reall time

these people that i showed you in picture are not the guys that opens 2 wow and do farming without any program.
i explained with detail up there.

Nothing in WoW have any value anymore. Why ? Becouse game is plagued by cosmetics, pets, mounts and other nonsens. You can make rare items as much you want. If there is anotehr 800+ mounts it wont mean anything. Getting new mount is as exciting as getting some vendor trash nowdays.

When comes to gathering mats its simply issue of botting. Blizzard also doesnt you to make enough gold by playing game becouse then demand for token would go down.

I can’t even begin to express how tragic and true this statement is.

To think we’ve to turn gaming into a, more or less (or as close as), real job just to enjoy it is twisted.

I dont think its twisted. Everyone must have a “hobby”.

Besides. WoW is a simplified version of what investing in the stock market would be. With the added bonus that you have a toon to move around, and if you mess up you dont loose your life’s savings.

The people that really, really enjoy the “economic aspect” arent in wow though. They play in EVE Online.

I know a guy that practically dosent leave his space station. And has a bunch of expensive ships in his dock as if he was a rich investment banker with Lamborguinis.

And yet, he got like 150 people, players, working for him and his company. And invests in wars and stuff like that.

Pretty mental if you ask me…

reading all these posts make me wonder why we still pay blizzard a sub just for them to s–t on us every chance they get by reducing the reward for doing something we like , now we are expected to report cheaters and botters aswell as hackers that we see while herbing ect ,blizzard need to wise up as slowly but surely this game is going down the pan .

Well I don’t miss gold farming. This is the first time in ages where my gold income stably outpaces my spending. I’m already up to a million gold, starting from zero eight months ago, and I barely farmed anything but old raids to fill out the collection (stopped doing that around January because I got pretty much everything).

I was always broke during the TBC/WotLK/Cata days. These days I spend maybe 3 to 4 hours a week doing WQs, and 10 to 12 hours doing M+ and raids (with pots and flasks and whetstones and food), and yet I come out richer than I was the previous week.

That is more of an indication that you don’t buy anything expensive as a collector, like the rare items from the BMAH or converting gold to tokens to buy cosmetic packs from there :yum:

At the current rate that stuff are added to the store, one would have to make approximately 700k+ extra gold per month (extra as in “in addition to the on-going expenses for doing content”) to be at an equilibrium, assuming they buy expansions and subscription with real cash.

Well, yes, I don’t. But my point is that actual “upkeep” gold farming to be ready for content is now gone - I can afford to repair, to change my mog, to buy or craft (with bought resources) my sockets/enchants/consumables for a fair amount of playtime, without sinking tons of time into just making gold. This was entirely different the last time I’ve played (pre-MoP), and I like the current state of things much better.

If you need to farm gold to buy expensive collector’s items, that’s your thing. The way I see it, those collector items should be that expensive, otherwise aren’t serving their purpose of removing gold from the economy (or bringing in real-world money for store cosmetics, which is not a practice I approve of, but everyone does it these days).

That is a very naive comment the one you are making.

Gold has an economy. And easy, accessible, free gold has consequences. Like in real life. You know exactly what happens if governments start printing money and giving it out for free.

As for reporting cheaters and botters… I dont know if you have realized the truth of the situation.

Blizzard has ways and methods of dealing with them using ban-waves and bots of their own to track them down. The “report” feature is simply to make you feel better when you inevitably bump into the one bot that got away.

So no. It’s not expected from you to report them. Dont do it if you dont want to. I just ignore them and move on.

Just remember: To fight bots you need bots. There are not enough people to do that by hand. Not even all the players and thousands of hired people to police bots. And proof that whatever blizz does is working is in the game itself. You can see bots if you look for them. But they are not sitting in Donorgal, or camping each and every possible mob, across all shards. If blizzard wasent on top of all this that is what you would see.

However, nothing is perfect. Some get away and you see them. So Blizzard gave you the tools to make you feel better. Like “you are making a difference”. Enjoy.

The screenshot doesn’t really prove anything, other than you’ve found a load of druids, which are the most common class for herb farming. Would need more than just a list of ‘druids’

I do see multiboxers so now and then when out herbing but they aren’t as plentiful as they were in the past. Still as frustrating to see them deplete a node though.

well blizzard is not letting me show the names in the picture .
and this proves so much you just dont want to see that blizzard reputation goes down.

im way smarter than you think.
YOU exactly know that im right and those multiboxers and gold sellers are doing this on that small land of farming in hallowfall.

I’m not asking you to show any names, the names also wouldn’t prove anything.

Nobody has commented on your intelligence. I’ve merely remarked that your screenshot is proof of nothing.

MY POINT IS THAT i see your intention behind your words thats why i said im smarter than you think.

the names are important when they do this . their names are 50 to 80% like each other.

THE BIG QUESTION IS why when someone is trying to expose them you and your friend start to attaking them
