I did an hour farm gathering herbs and ores on this alt.
Total value 4673g for one hour ! Like that’s nothing. I got repairs . consumes and runes to buy.
I remember in SL even when Zereth Mortis came out , I could fly around for an hour in bastion and still make 30k. Enough to keep me going for a week.
Farm transmog , tmog is so low. Even the rarest stuff has almost no value and everything farmed to death. I have all the things , I can see what’s unique. I know what’s rare and super rare. The super rare stuff shouldnt be going for under 20k.
I strongly recommend reversing the AH policies and make it server specific in midnite.
I even tried raw gold farming this weekend , just flying through all the old raids and it’s practically not worth your time / per gold made.
I simply refuse to pick up my purse and buy wow gold. I shouldn’t have to.

There’s still plenty of ways to earn gold, you just have to find them.
My niche has also been cut in half byt still earn 30k easy an hour.

if you want to do gold farming for reall.
herb and ore – you need to be maxed knowledge and find a realm that is not full of other farmers or botts. (30k per hour for each account)
2 2x4 skinning group in warmode on.
((60k per hour if your group knows what they are doing))

like those dudes that brings 10 copies of themself to raise the herbs in that small farming land near the base in hollowfall and gather 1 herb for example 10 times.
or doing boost. ( very high per hour )
basically this is the only reall gold farming.
not like these people that comes here and say go do quest and get 5k in one hour
Make a tank or healer, join random heroic dungeon when call to arms is active, you get 1k raw gold + 1-3 runes that sell for almost 2k each, in like 10 minutes.
I liked running old raids, they used to give quite a nice amount of gold compared to what we owned.
But then Blizz nerfed gold prices of old epics, massively increased current expansion income and running few old raids are no longer viable.

That is like saying that I ran LFG raid and I did not get any Mythic Raid drops.
Serious gold farmers make much more than that in an hour. They have custom made, planned out and optimized alts for that… ect…
And when you played in SL and got “easy gold”… those serious gold farmers were sitting in the billions (with a B). They did not have enough alts with banks to hoard the stupid amounts of gold they had. That is why it was nerfed.
So basically. You get the gold equivalent to your effort. No effort. No gold. Simple. You want more gold, then put the sweat to get it.
Or do what I do: I “farm” money for enough hours in the day. And THE most efficient gold farm you can do is simply work for 1 hour. Make some $$ and buy a token. THAT is the most efficient way of earning gold/hour.
Just ask your boss to do 1 extra hour of work every 2 weeks. And you will have a yield of a couple of million gold per hour.

I think it was a bit easier in for example BFA to make gold than now 
Considering how expensive things like flasks and raw materials are currently, why not farm those?
I never have issues with passive gold, and I don’t actively try to make gold. At least when only playing 1 or 2 chars. If you have an army of alts though, that’s an entirely different story. That can get expensive really fast if you’re looking to craft gear with sparks and enchant your gear.
Puny has 100 paladins. Has more alt Paladins than anyone I know.
So its not surprising that he has all that stuff. Since Vanilla the formula “more alts more gold” has been true.
Each expansion we have same gathering materials until next expansion. Gathering is becoming less and less profitable for gatherers. If we had different gathering reagents each season, gatherers could have earn better profits. 4673g per hour is not good, I would consider buying token instead of gathering 
Every gold making activity in the game requires you to spend time. Most casual way of gold making is concentration. Pick Enchanting+Blacksmith, gather all knowledge points available in open world and at reputation vendors.
For Enchanting, Everlasting Enchantments 30, than 20+20 to any enchant you want to craft. Then you start putting points to Supplementary Shattering, Immaculate Ingenuity and Resourceful Residue. Dont forget to use Shatter Essence each time you start your enchants. You can also craft your tools, ingenuity or resourcefulness, I prefer Ingenuity. 1-1.1k profit per enchant is what it’s atm.
For Blacksmithing 30 Means of Production/ 30 Fortuitous Forges/ 20 Alloys and rest of the knowledge points to Everburning Forge and it’s tree. You can craft Ironclaw Alloy or Charged Alloy, 600g per concentration cast. Multicraft tool is better and don’t forget to use everburning ignition buff when you start crafting.
Lastly Enchanting mostly get 1-2 Crystallized Augment Rune workorder per week which costs you around 250g.
Phial of Concentrated Ingenuity 135 Ingenuity, Forged Framework rank 2 225 Ingenuity, those buffs could be useful for enchanting concentration. You don’t need to use forged framework for Blacksmith alloys.
You can always use rank 1-2-3 combination for your concentration crafts. For example ironclaw ore rank 3 and rank 2 is close in price so if you use rank 3 ironclaw, you can do more concentration. Or for enchanting you can use combination of rank 1-2 storm dusts. If an enchant needs refulgent crystal, using rank 3 lowers skill requirement further so you can use more mixture of rank 1-2 storm dusts and lower your cost more. Ofcourse never use rank 3 core alloys/gleaming shards/storm dusts. Rank 1-2 storm dust mixture, rank 2 core alloys, rank 2 gleaming shards. Sometimes you may not have enough gold, you can even use full rank 1 but you might do less concentration. Just calculate which is best for you.
I used to farm pet charms and buy pets. I still have many pet charms. You can farm pets/pet charms and sell pets in any realm.
If you are good at PvE or PvP, you can sell boosts.

I have a friend with all warriors too and I’ve seen all hunters.
The Garrison was probably the only time I actually had any gold.

Make yourself a army of 65 earthen, level them to 70 by area exploring, takes about 2 hours each toon if you know what you do. Chose Alchemie with Juwelcraft or Enchanting as profession - skill them so you can do one thing with rank 2 mats and concentration usage so it gives a rank 3 item. Do this every 3 days so that theres no concentration left, takes about 3-4 hours. Profit each month about 4-5 Millions or more. 40 hours of “Farming” for 4 Millions is 100k per hour.
And you can do other things like watching a stream while doing this ^^

Really? I get around 19k on an hour. Are you using the right items for it?
I don’t farm AT ALL, on one character doing gold WQs [enable WM for 10% more, and extra PvP WQs that often reward gold], weekly and rep caches, buying R2 mats to use up concentration to craft R3 pots/flasks/enchants for the AH [I look up what’s in demand make the most gold out off], work orders that reward Augmented Runes to AH… that’s easily ~50+k gold per week for like an hour’s effort.

On one character.
Why are you even farming herbs and ores? Bots have ruined the economy for them, they’re so cheap to buy even the rank 3 stuff [r2 for 6g, r3 for 11g…].
I know you don’t want to spend any extra but if you ran a second account you could use lunarwing Druid form and both characters can pick up herbs while mounted on the Druid.
Good way to double your gold, plus fishing on both isn’t hard either.
