I haven’t logged in to wow for a week or two. I was burning myself out and needed a break . But I haven’t missed it, when I took a break in legion i missed playing it I’d think about it from time to time and have a want to log in. But sl doesn’t give me that want or need, I miss my friends I miss my guldies and will probably log in for a raid night soon just to say hi but the actual need to play and adventure just isn’t there. SL is just the same old rinse and repeat and the narrative isn’t doing anything for me… Mostly because there isn’t any .
I’m loving the lack of compulsory grind. I love that those who want to raid log can.
We don’t know when the next patch will hit exactly other than it’s going to hit the PTR in a couple of weeks. That is a good sign at least.
It is good to take breaks when you are bored or have nothing left to do in the game. It’s a great time to play other games.
I do not struggle to find things to do in WoW and am trying to balance my time between Retail and TBC beta atm. If I didn’t have the beta I’d be levelling an alt in Classic with a friend ready for TBC. I do not actually enjoy the grind of Classic but I like playing with my friend .
I imagine many will take time out or play less until we get 9.1.
Personally, being in a PvP guild, I love every day I log in. Playing with friends, doing some BGs, both random and rated, and just talking with people. Even though arena content has been stale for the last several days (my Hpriest friend went off to get Gladiator in 3s before we push 2s again), it still feels nice to log in every day. One of the benefits of being a PvPer is that the content is in the community
But yeah, I hear a lot of PvEers quitting because of the lack of content. Makes me think of Cataclysm when we had 4 raids on release - Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent, Throne of the Four Winds and Tol Barad s9/t11 boss (+ the worldpvp event with it!). PvE content is ultimately finite and it’s fine if you run out of things to do, but that’s what alts are for, if you crave playing, right?
Exactly. I don’t ever feel like I’m falling behind, I can gear up at my own pace, my guildies have no demands of me because I’m a Social and I come help them when I can. And outside of gear progression I have so much to look forward to in terms of collections
This patch is kind of outstaying its welcome but I haven’t finished all the campaigns yet, so there that to look forward to, as well as collecting all the pets from this patch.
I’ve done the campaigns stories but it will take me many months to get everything done in their sanctums, let alone collect all the sets. I think two still need to cap renown.
