I Missed Pirate Day

… why isn’t there a way to let us automatically get notified whenever there is a holiday up, especially one that lasts for one frigging day only? I really needed that pirate armor for my drake.

Anyone knows of an addon that notifies us for these things?

… I had forgotten about the pirate armour, probably only thing worthwhile in the event still? Though I assume the price is still ridiculous, so I probably would have skipped it again. Sorry to hear you missed the opportunity though.

Yesterday I got reminded it was Pirates’ day via reading Trade Chat, I finally got the Pirate flag toy.
However, I do think Blizzard should give an option to get notified with this events - especially the short ones.

damn. i totally forgot about that.

It’s in the calendar. The first thing I do when I log in is open it and see what’s going on.

There are simply too many things to do in this game, especially if you play many alts. An option to remind us of events wouldn’t hurt IMO.

There are simply too many things to do in this game that it’s keeping you from clicking on the calendar to open it? That what you telling me?

I was too busy with the season start to do Pirate’s Day :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Yes, is that too hard to grasp? Let me say it again: sometimes I am overwhelmed by the things I plan on doing and yes – I forget to check the calendar. Go mock someone else.

Yes, it is. Very much so. You express interest in holiday events, but you can’t be bothered to check the calendar, which not only tells if there’s an event going on but also when it’s coming up. So yes, it’s beyond my ability to grasp how you come here to demand a system just because it’s too hard to press a button once a month at least. And when I suggested you work it into your habit to do that, you got upset.

I get notifications from Rarity, but I think it will be more limited to mounts, pets and toys, as opposed to transmogs/skins available in events. For example, today it put the following in chat: “Rarity: A holiday event is available today for [Swift Brewfest Ram]! Go get it!” which acted as nice prompt for me to check the calendar, which I often forget to do.

Yeah, looking for something like that but for Holidays in general. Sadly I haven’t found anything yet.

Someone (preferably blizzard) needs to make a simple addon that comes up with a dialog box to clear when an event starts.

When i got my insane title a few months before the pirate day (not this years) i put a note on my calendar, phone and took a day off from work just so i could get the black flag toy.

So i can safely say that i earned and lived up to this title.

But i forgot the drake armor… got it this year instead :grimacing:

Doesnt seem you need it that badly if you didnt put some reminder anywhere for yourself. Or you know… just remembered.

Completely forgot about it aswell.
Luckily they didnt add anything new to it, so im not missing out on anything.

Damn I missed it too ARRRRG

Such addons already exists. Then you have the calendar, news in b .net client, wowhead frontpage, mmoc frontpage, official website etc.

I didn’t miss it, and I can tell you there wasnt anything except a toy you could buy for 10g. That’s it.

I checked the calendar on Tuesday and forgot about it till I saw this thread…
