Hello I need some kind of feedback from Blizzard staff about this issue:
Yesterday while I was playing with my level 20 rogue in Stitches Hardcore the game suddenly disconnected from the server, then the reconnect button sent me directly to a 1800 players 1 hour login queue.
At the moment when I disconnected my rogue was in stealth and out of combat but more than an hour later when I finally could log in again he was dead, just like that, I will never know why or how.
Now I would like to ask Blizzard to revive my rogue for the following reasons:
I was disconnected from the game without a single warning and it was the first time that happened since I started playing Hardcore it was sudden surprise
I dont use any kind of addons and my internet connection has been stable 100% of the time
My rogue character was in stealth and out of combat
The reconnect button kicked me to a 1 hour long queue
This death is 100% totally Blizzard server platform fault and I could not have prevented it in any way, this was never my mistake.
I wanted to contact customer support but I simply dont know how, you see back in my time you could contact a GameMaster and solve this kind of issues fast and fair but it seems that more civilized era is long gone. I have tried diving in the hive that is the new support system but the best thing I have found about problems with hardcore characters is to send a bug report and so I did but that option has no tracking ticket or any kind of feedback.
I know I have my rights as a customer so I want to ask here for help and know if Hardcore is also going to be a wild west with no protection or warranties whatsoever against blatant techinical issues
Please help I wont stop until I get some kind of official response
Read the rules you has to accept every time you make new HC character. This is already covered there.
And sorry for your loss. It is hard, been there too.
Create a new character and read the notice for your official response: “Death is permanent for whatever the reason. This includes disconnections, lag, server outtages, gameplay bugs, or any other reason.”
Since blizzard is known for questionable server quality, they covered this under the terms you accept when you make a HC char to avoid being swarmed by tickets due to poor server quality.
Same thing happenned to me, unfortunately the only answer you’ll get from blizzard is : you accepted the terms.
Even if : YES for the money we pay we could expect decent hardware and support in case of failure.
But that’s an other story and blizzard did show time and time again that they prefer to focus on other problems.
Your rights were presented before you at entering the HC realm which states “this includes disconnections…”
Blizzard delivers the game “as is” and includes no such thing as warranties or further protection other then taking action against negative behaviour as usual.
As you’ve pressed “I agree” you accepted all terms on this extra stipulation and your toon’s soul belong to the Shadowlands.
Are you sure on that…. Pretty sure that’s what a TOS is for, you know for you to acknowledge your rights as part of the agreement as consumer and seller…
