New dungeon finder system you can like or not, it has it’s pros and cons but I just need to understand one key logic of this system, which apparently was not discussed enough during the design.
So, we can have two situation:
Let’s say I really enjoyed the new system. It makes me click more times, refresh list more times, wow, cool. But what if my realm becomes dead for reasons beyond my and any player’s control? Or if 3/4 players decided to transfer or start playing retail or quit? If I’m a PvP players - nothing changes. I still can BG, still can Wintergrasp, because PvP is cross-realm. What if I’m PvE player? Well… most probable just delete your character, accept that you wasted your time OR… spend money on transfer ;D Have you ever thought (when designing this sh* system) what happens if there would be lack of players? Nobody queues for any dung, you have completely nothing to do. Why in such situation, your perfect finder can’t find players from another realm?
Is there any reason that people go dungeons at level 1-79 besides quests now? Comparing what it used to be → to what it is now, on current version of finder there is like 80% less 1-79 dungeons parties. What is the point to go for any low level dungeon if not quest? Do you need item that becomes useless after next 30 minutes?
The old, good rfd motivated you more by additional exp, finishing reward, finishing gold, whatever, even if it was crap, it still motivated you. Quests + gold + exp + “maybe” valuable item. Now? Completely nothing.
I would like to understand other’s point of view, am I missing something? Am I not seeing the real perfection side of current finder? Really?
Blizzard dident think about low pop servers with the system we got now… i bet it was the same group of ppl making diablo immortal for phones first then manages to say from the stage “dont you guys have phones?” Only to see a silent crowd not believing what they just heard xD
Ah right the value of community bs they fed us. Let’s face it they don’t give a damn about their precious pillars. The entire game’s world they so preach about might as well be dead and they wouldn’t care as they use the same rethorics for latest JJ as they used when they introduced level boosts back in MoP “Fun is at the end game, get there fast, don’t miss out”.
RDF would not hurt the communities as in this specific game and expansion they’re formed around Raids - something RDF does not touch. Hell if they want they can easily exclude Heroics from it as well something they already did in Retail when they introduced Mythic difficulty.
Dungeons aren’t where communities are formed as they are just bump on the road. Something you do on the way to the raiding and in some cases skip entirely (as you can, depending on the realm, just join GDKP runs as soon as you hit level 80 and gear up that way)
A) Classic releases include all features from their expansions respective final patch. RDF was introduced in WotLK
B) As you yourself said devs were clear about stating absolute lack of intention to include it so there’s really no point in waiting.
Neither of those had RDF in their entire lifespan. WotLK had it.
Yeah, they wanted classic to stay classic without the needed retail features right?
Guess what, classic is much closer to retail now with all the changes. Ure delusional to think they actually care about classic.
I am not against RDF, was pretty used to it on private servers. However, I strongly think that eventual addition of RDF in Wotlk Classic would not stop the constant population decline like many RDF defenders claim.
I’d assume those would qualify as content and not features. Keep in mind that RDF at least as far as WotLK is concerned does not introduce anything new. No new currency, no new gear. I am however willing to concede on that point.
You mean it can be ran on monofaction realms? Let’s be honest they’re likely the only reason BGs including WG are crossrealm as otherwise you’d cut all the content away from them and more cries would be heard.
Your claim was that we got everything from the start of each expansion features wise, I pointed out a feature that wasnt in and you try to counter with something that shouldnt have been in brilliant move. And as one other person pointed out the entier honor system (feature) and BGs (content) was not in classic at launch so no version of classic have had everything from the start. That point is wrong.
Of course because I remember WoW back then. The only difference is that in the past realms were equal, game was new, people just enjoyed it. Now every faction wants to have their own realm. Why? Nobody knows. Nobody knows why Firemaw is alliance and Gehennas is horde. There are barely 2-3 realms where both faction play but the sum total is still so low because all transfered to Firemaw/Gehennas/Golemag when they could. Please do not compare old WoW players and their brains to todays.
Still… if your realm becomes dead and you are a PvE player, you must leave WoW or spend money for Bli$$$$$$ard to transfer.
