What does a Stamina/HP potion cost? Pay me half of the AH cost of that and I’ll provide you with a Stamina buff.
Sounds fair right?

It’s up to the mage to ask for money if he wants some. If they hand it over for free, that’s on them. Sure you can tip if you want, but as any tip that’s completely optional. Since when does the customer have to make sure that he pays?
Except a buff doesn’t cost you time, if you’re in a capital town and you’re not using your mana for other things - it’s an instant cast spell. I don’t expect people in Orgrimmar to tip me for Arcane Intellect
Whatever makes you feel relevant
Edit: it’s not like there would be 20 other mages standing next to you in Org
It costs time because it’s mana I have to regenerate, and Stamina buff isn’t cheap in mana.
Sounds familiar?
If you’re in a capital city, you’re going to regenerate that mana anyway before you’re going to need it for anything worthy, so it doesn’t cost you anything at all.
It’s not like conjuring water when you have to spend time casting it.
EDIT: Ofc if you’re farming in the outside world and are fighting, people shouldn’t expect you to waste your mana on them for free. I don’t buff Arcane Int on ppl if I’m going to need that mana soon
They’re talking crap to annoy you. Mages are literal irrelevant. You can play with mages all day and not know their names.
If a mage in my group expects me to pay him to make me a bit of water then I sure as hell expect him to pay 20s per heal I cast on him too. Only fair.
Well I dunno about other mages, but I’m not the one asking people to conjure stuff for them. If they don’t feel like paying, they can just avoid contacting me and leave me to my affairs. Works just as well for me, as I said in my previous posts.
We’re not talking about people in your group.
Have you even read the OP?
Exactly. If im looking for a pug mage for whatever reason, it’s for their water. Not their dps. There are a literal ton of you, one of you will be our food bot
If it’s for a group, the assumption is that everyone is using their buffs for free anyway.
Why would you need my DPS anyway if you’re not seeking to make a party? Would you stop a mage or anybody else in OG to ask for their… “DPS”… without wanting to group with them? It doesn’t make any sense
I did, but I’ve had mages in my group refuse to give me water before too because you entitled whiners feel like pressing a button a few times is too much work.
Makes me feel like pressing my heal button is too much work also.
Woops, you died when you pulled AoE aggro cus I forgot to shield you? My bad.
Well, the kick button exists for a reason. It’s like rogues who want to hog all the locked chests. Just pick a more reasonable player. But again, that’s not really the topic of the thread, is it?
Oh, in that case it’s probably the only socialising the mage will receive without them starting the dialogue.
Don’t cry man.
If in open world you see dying mage, before heal him up,whisper for money:p
The most annoying is when someone just open trade and demand water, before open trade, ask:)
And at what point did i say it was mandatory?
Oh right I forgot, I’m taking time off you which you could have spent jumping up and down on Orgrimmar AH (or bank, idgaf about horde cities)
Cool, pay me for buffs and combat rez and ill pay you for water. Deal?
You mean aside from being an officer in a recruiting guild and an admin of the MR server discord?
Besides, trying to bribe people with free conjured food is not really the best way to make good friends in WoW to begin with
