Only thing worst than a gnome is a mechagnome.
Quite enjoyed leveling my Mechagnome for heritage but couldn’t main one.
Do like Gnome lore though, wish they’d decontaminate Gnomeregan and give them a little more attention. (this goes for a lot of races that are not Elf, Human or Orc)

People play a gnome, so the eternal cycle of punting can continue on.
Unlike other cycles we were meant to break (thanks Saurfang) this one should not be broken. The balance of Azeroth needs gnomes, just as much as it need gnome punters.
Because Gnomes are a meme and people find it funny to play as a meme.
Since WoW launched the Gnomes of Gnomergan have had no significant lore updates, they’ve never appeared in an expansion cinematic and they’ve had very little input in the major conflicts on Azeroth.
They’re a joke race and a waste of a character creation slot that would be better filled by Vykrul, Furbolg or Tuskarr.

I generaly prefer short races, like Gnome, Dwarf and Vulpera. Maybe it’s because I’m a tall person, I like to be short in games.
