With the new DH spec coming i decided to play DH for the first time.
I have 4 classes i play:
Main is my DK, alt is my monk, paladin and shaman.
I am shocked at how different DH plays, its way more fun and interesting. Its like its from a different game.
I did appreciate how outdated DK plays until i played DH. Dh is equally as simple as frost but its just fun and the bottons are nice to press. Maybe that the issue. DK buttons arent fun to press.
Fun is subjective. I absolutely fall asleep every time I try to play DH, and I’ve really tried to play the class.
Frost DK might be simple, but at least it’s a bit less predictable than DH imo. All you do on DH is wait for auto attacks to proc Fury while you sit and spam your Chaos Strike button. Then you press Blade Dance and Eye Beam on CD and go back to spamming Chaos Strike.
Different people find different stuff fun - maybe DK is just not for you
I play Death Knight because it’s fun. That’s all there is to it.
I like my big Runeblade, my armour, and I love the voice effects. It feels like a slow killing machine and it’s very fun to me. I prefer it over DH, that class is far too fast for me, and I have ADHD!
Frost DK in PvP is just amazing fun. Especially with the talent that turns you into Arthas from that one dungeon where you have to run from him while he’s freezing you. So many people just run from me, then I get to Death Grip them back, Chains of Ice, Obliterate Obliterate Obliterate. Good stuff.
Blood DK is just… nice. I don’t know.
It could use some work in some areas (Death and Decay REALLY should be an aura around us…) but all in all it’s just a cool aesthetic and gameplay loop. Especially San’layn, I love spamming Vampiric Strike and seeing my dps go zoom.
It’s more the fact DH has flashy animations and feels more fluid. It feels more modern.
DK just always has something clunky about it.
I made myself a frost DK and im loving it, playing main ww and an arcane, arms in the addons before. I didnt realize how much utility DK got.
From the very beginning of my WoW adventure, I played as a DH Vengeance. I really liked the class, but the lack of race selection and poor transmog options made me decide to try something else.
Moreover, I tried Blood DK a few times, but I never quite got the hang of it. However, once I settled in and truly understood what playing as a Blood DK entails, I’m having much more fun playing it. Sure, it’s not the strongest tank and currently struggles, but it’s perfect for raids and other game modes I play. Its armor is fantastic. This season is also the first one I’ve broken into PvP to get the Elite set. I’m having more fun than ever.
Maybe you just need to find something that suits you.
Everytime im on my FDK, i feel like Arthas and a dark Sith Lord in one Person. The area im in is even to cold for Frostmages, if they not UD. No DH can give me that.
Tbh I could never give grip away.
I have been playing SP this season and grip still one of the best abilities in the game for me.
Honorable mention to DA too as you can ignore mechanics and any type of knock back.
DK is fun to play overall; it’s not flashy but it’s ok though I still detest - and yes, absolutely hate - BoS, even after the changes.
