I really like the WoD garrison

When i’m tired of what ever i’m doing , i can retire to my own little kingdom,and work on improving my buildings,send out my followers,finding new ones, doing pet battles ect.
I think it’s really nice to have this little “single player game” within the game,even though many might disagree :smile:

I go there every day. The Garrison Hearthstone makes it as easy as ever. And there’s still some reason for it. The missions are worth doing, if only to get a lucky spawn on the mount, reputation token, or the garrison or oil resources. It all sells for a nice penny on the Auction House for what’s effectively very little effort on your own part.

And then the Garrison is still a convenient hub for accessing your bank and checking the BMAH.

And right now there’s the daily quests for the holiday event, which is worthwhile doing as well.

And then there’s the fact that you can choose your own music for the Garrison, which is so nice.

So yeah, like it too, it’s still a nice place to go :slightly_smiling_face:

Its awesome for pet battling when squirt is up, i’ve leveled 100s of pets in there.

Other than that i still use the table for the weekly chance at a medallion and for mog bits from the quests for my alts.

I wasn’t playing during WoD, but I also like it and try to upgrade it on my alts as well.

Also, I guess most people who wanted AH in their garrison have it by now, but in case someone doesn’t have or wants to get it on their alts, now is the best time for that. Ashran isn’t in the game right now, so the expensive part which was dropping in Ashran is no longer required to set up the AH in garrison. It’ll probably be back on the requirement list once Ashran is back in the game, so get it while you can :smile:

It does actually feel snug and chill to return to your own little place after you’ve been hanging about in-game and doing various activities.

Sadly in WoD, that was too much of a problem combined with absolutely nothing in the game world.

I too go there almost every day, by accidentally pressing the wrong hearthstone icon :frowning:

If people find it fun then it shouldn’t stop you from going there, good for you for finding something fun to do!

I love that Garrison as well <3

It has been my characters home ever since it first came, everytinme i play, i go there to just see how things are going or play a bit of pet battle.

I was really sad though, when i found out that theres only one placement for garrison and customization is extremely limited. I really just wanted an Forsaken fortress or a Draenei themed village with some “protoss” pylons defebding the fort :slight_smile:

Kidding i like to go there and do the achievements as i am avid achievement collector , so much to do !

I have PTSD over that place, the only time I touch that place is when I need a quick way to get to Rukhmar.

I love mine too ! best idle spot, and there a jukebox and puppy statue’s.

Same thing on my hordie, chilling with Vol’jin with Karazhan playing in the background.

Cordana is still there hanging out and chit chatting with leeroy.

Its like disney land

I alwys go there after I´m finished playing. I miss the Garrison soo much I actually choked a little when reading the Thread-Title.

Thats what I really hate about WoW, that everything always gets abandoned and dies out when a new Addon comes along.
Remember the Farm? Or the Timeless Isle?

Why does WoW do that. No other mmo does it. They just incorporate it in their new Addons.

I think I probably loved this feature the most about the garrison and that I have my own Auction House.

I think most of the players liked having a garrison back in WoD, the problem was that there was no other content to go out in the world to do so most were stuck in their garrison doing nothing and hate it to these days because of that. I love my garrison and loved the concept, my very own base, sending troops to do my bidding, each building did something different, proff buildings weren’t useless and some still aren’t(tailoring building for work orders to create bags).

I’m a somewhat new player,and was’nt around when it came out,but i understand the dislike some may have had for it,because of being stuck there, I might have felt the same way,but now it’s a nice hang out,where one take a step back from the game,and just relax :slight_smile:
