I really like Zereth Mortis but

The rares could use an 1 minute shield before being taken down.

I am usually farming cloths from the maw mobs north of forge of afterlives, and every time a rare like Protector of the first one spawns and shows up in the map, I will never, EVER be able to reach it in time. It takes like 20 seconds to fly to that place:(

It kind of defeat the purpose of showing a rare on the map for me atleast… The rare with the mount in the middle of the elite area got a 2 minute immunity shield and EVERYONE can come get ready for it.

Even the bird that flies down to get its food is kind of easy to get to because it takes 30 seconds before it can be attacked.

The second flaw is that rare root boss to the south. It is ALWAYS bugged. Please change it so we just have to root it up or kill mobs around it to spawn:D

Third thing that annoys me is that how chests disappears from the minimap when someone loots it. Sometimes I fly past it, spots it in a frame and flies back, just to see it gone from the mini map.

Otherwise, I love this zone. That is how a zone should be. The best added zone along with Isle of Thunder. I dont think you get enough credit Blizzard. This zone rocks. Its the second best zone (Revendreth will always be nr 1 for me atleast) in Shadowlands.

That’s actually just a visual bug. The chests don’t actually de-spawn if they suddenly disappear from the mini-map. Just remember where the chest was and fly there, it should still be there.

I don’t try to get to rares, I know they’ll die fast. I just do the ones I come across in my travels and Group Finder/wait at location for the rest.

Shame we’ve never had a spawn protecting and early announcement system for rares that gave everyone a fair chance to make it to the rare in time which allowed players to calmly go about other business in the meantime and didn’t force players into stressing around as headless chickens, jumping server groups and spawn camping random spawn timers in hope of getting that one daily hit on that rare with 0.0002% drop on that cool mount.

Probably a good thing we’ve never had anything like that or they’d probably remove it for some nonexistent or arbitrary reason.

I don’t understand why they are not using icecrown prepatch model tbh.

If I’m in the neighborhood I try otherwise I don’t bother going across the map only to have wasted my time

“It’s only a model”

Community is also to be blamed. I’ve linked pin in chat for which many people responded with “omw” , but mythic raiders bursted rare before people arrived

something something go go mentality. something something blizzards fault.

And what would that change? Not much. There’d still be some ppl realizing the rare is up or entering the zone late who then think all the ppl already at the location of the rare will wait just for them… not understanding that there are even more players arriving after them, who also think they are the most important person on the server and that others have to wait just for them. But if ppl always waited for everyone to arrive, the rare would never be killed.

Just accept that you’re late, wait for the rare to respawn of use the tool to server hop…

When we had this it wasn’t particularly needed (still good to have though) as the rares were on set times so everyone knew when and where they would appear. There were groups hovering around waiting for them when they did spawn.

To wait one min after location has been linked in chat is not waiting forever for endless stream of freshly loged players.

No, but it also doesn’t solve the problem. Point is: there will always be some ppl that miss out on a rare kill by a hairbreadth and then come to the forums to cry about it.
