My first class in wotlk was paladin, and I really want to revive the joys of prot in pve during naxx and ulduar, and then going ret in toc and icc. Hell, I also want to pvp as holy, it was so fun…
…but there are soooooo many people playing paladins that it kinda discourages me a little. I dread hearing people go “lel another pally fotm-er” even though I simply love the class.
What should I do?
nb: as you can see I tried to play another class because of that…but it just didn’t work, I don’t enjoy it.
Normal, because with a Paladin you can take a big pack of mobs during lvling, that some classes can’t or it’s harder.
I’m lvling a DK, and really i’m sad to not maining it because i’m too much attached to my main Hunt. DK is so strong jesus taking 6 mobs at the same time and ending the fight full life.
And can’t do that with the Hunt, or it’s harder and i have to play well.
So, Paladin and DK is good for rerolls because easy lvling + 20% mount speed for profession farm.
there is your answer, you should not care what other’s do. Seems to me you already made a choice and now should act upon it.
I do not see them as OP to be honost. I see and hear alot of people saying that ret is op in pvp (imo it is good for killing noobs). but this is very far from the truth as you will find out when you fight mages, locks, hunters, priests and healers for examples
Paladins always were popular and during WotLK they were most likely the strongest class overall, so no surprise that it’s the class most players chose to play.
If you like Paladin, play it. Look for a group that isn’t full of Paladins (or DKs) and you’ll be fine. There will always be an abundance of Paladins though.
