Im posting here for more visibility since class forums are no mans land.
I refuse to play current frost mage. Not because i cant and not because i dont like frost. Ive played frost since Shadowlands with its ups and downs and i really like the fantasy of bringing endless winter upon your enemies.
With that being said, current frost is a convulted,overly designed mess. Spammy as hell, nonsensical, overly complex . And blizzards response was that they introduce a rotation assistant? I mean cmon this cant be real.
Can we please have frost seriously looked at in 11.2? How is it possible to release and keep a spec in such a state?
So many posts in US forums from high profile community members that have given all they have for frost yet Blizzard remains tone deaf and their posts go unanswered.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but Blizzard have never read or even acknowledged the EU forums in the 20 years this game has been live.
Edit: to be a bit more constructive, there are options to voice your opinion in a way Blizzard might actually see it. You could join the class Discord, there are some class Discords in which devs actually lurk or might even be somewhat active. Another choice would be Reddit, even though success rate might not be much higher than the forums here. Sometimes Blizzard picks up on things posted to Reddit, but most of the time they donât. Not sure how to go about this, but apparently there are options to create a character on the US realms. If you get one to level 10, I believe you can post on the US forums, where Blizzard reads at least some of the stuff posted.
This is obviously subjective but I actually like the glacial spike. For me its a lot better than spamming ice lances like a machine gun till your finger falls offâŚ

When that is said there are blue replies on us forum, not on eu. There are more interesting players there it seems.
When I first played in WOTLK my main was a frost mage, and I enjoyed the class fantasy. Today I feel like it is a confusion. It feels like a badly re wallpapered wall where the old designs from former times show through. So we have stuff based on AOE (Orb making Blizzard instant), a frost bolt caster, a glacial spike builder, a nuke in ray on a cooldown, an ice lance spammer to avoid casting and so on. I find if I take all the abilities like ray and glacial itâs a mess, but if I slim it down to ice lances itâs boring.
I donât feel hero talents helped. I donât like the frost fire fantasy and the other tree just procs some more orbs and fires some mini bolts. So I would love a rework as I just dont play it much.
I would not pay too much mind on the âblizzard dont read eu or na forumsâ as they literally do according blue posts across topics we have seen, they just dont reply every post. They likely also collect data to some degree from their platforms. And secondly this is the games forum so any topics you wish to make of the game, good or bad this and the in game suggestions are one of the means that one can express those and its no worse than any other place.
What comes to mages in general I also found frost design as not something which I like, I play arcane for that reason. I found arcane more fluid and faster to play than frost, if that is something you would like to try I would suggest try arcane spellslinger in any case.
Blizzard is not likely to reply on every single complain or any number of other posts writen on its platform, it still dont mean that data would not be gathered and recorded. Not likely they would reply every post people make either but these type platforms are established for people to communicate and developers and the like to occasionally speak through blue posts to us but they are also means to gather data.
