I sometimes get a Frost-Spell-Proc-Indicator as a fire mage and don't know what spell this is for

I read all Mage tree- and pvp- talent descriptions as well as the ones from the passives in the spell book and have no clue still
it’s one that’s shown left from my character, as a vertical curved line

Best guess, you’ve got some sort of addon (or the remains of an addon) that is messing about with your UI.

Do that thing where you purge addons, think it’s like deleting your cache or WTF file or something, but look it up for yourself.
