I get that it’s nostalgia and it must have been a fun lore/gimmick back in the day. I played warlock a lot on both classic and unofficial servers and I loved it in PVP to make these risk/reward decisions but in the modern game it doesn’t make much sense.
Demonology has no actual interrupt. You need interrupt to function in almost every type of content. Sure, in raids others can handle it often. But in M+? From I have been reading it’s one of key components to why warlock is so under represented. Felguard stun doesn’t interrupt and the idea of giving up demon which is core of spec and has abilities tied to it is just terrible.
The ability to silence is already there and it doesn’t require any work beside copying it. It’s the PVP ability which basically summons a Dreadstalker to silence. Alternatively you can make Axe Toss just silence if it fails to interrupt, I guess?
I just keep hitting my interrupt button and it does nothing. Because it’s not there. Like, even resto shaman has interrupt and it’s a healer. Which is awesome by the way.
