No my point is that people claim it is the most broken class in the game and when everyone and their grandmother is a FOTM I simply wonder why it is not the most played class if it is so broken / strong?
I am not denying it is strong and need tweaking but people claiming it needs nerfs because they don’t understand how to play against it should in many cases learn to play…
im not ignoring dmg buffs im just saying certain specs just have more to offer based on complexity of CC kit and high skillcap and representation shouldn’t be used as an alpha omega argument whether something truly is good at the highest levels of play.
take mm hunter they have buffed the dmg by 10% like 6 times now and that still doesn’t mean its good.
You are. Outlaw representation has increased a lot since they happened, and you refer to the spec as “the least represented”. Ever since the massive damage buffs it is not the least played at all, and so, if you don’t ignore the buffs, you don’t make such a false claim.
Good specs are always played by the masses.
But hey, you still haven’t set foot in arena so I suppose it is not easy for you to make educated guesses as you don’t witness the meta shifts yourself, only through others like us.
Which isn’t true. I will repeat what I said, type it in caps so you get it in your head:
OUTLAW PLAYRATE HAS INCREASED A LOT, AND CONSEQUENTLY OUTLAW HAS NOT BEEN THE LEAST PLAYED SPEC, EVER SINCE IT WAS MASSIVELY BUFFED IN DAMAGE, WHICH HAPPENED PRIOR TO THE AWC.
If you played arena, you’d know it. But you don’t, so you don’t know, and you still allow yourself to try to be right about it. That’s mindboggling.
Do you truly believe that people started playing Outlaw because it was played at AWC when the AWC has such a low viewer count, and most of them are people who already know how PvP works and are following patchnotes ? Or could it be, maybe, that Outlaw was played because it got massively buffed and that people already started to play it before, realized it was now strong, and practised it, making the spec more and more played ? Think HARD on the question.
Yes i think it has a huge influence whether a spec wins a major PR event like AWC on representation.
people can read on the internet they dont need to watch the AWC stream.
do we have any prior data on AWC win specs whether the following weeks/months the represention increased? if so it could easily be proved/disproven whether it has a major influence by a capable statistician/data scientist.
Representation might increase by a small amount due to AWC influence, but saying a spec is getting more represented due to “popularity” and “FOTM” after AWC is wrong in itself.
The buffs made more people play it even before AWC, and the increase afterwards people can call out “awc” if they want even if it was only a tiny factor.
AWC is not the place to look at balance in general.
i’ve always played with all sorts of rogue comps in 2s and 3s … rm disc/rogue hpal/rogue rmp thug rps.
trust me i’ve hated and had my share of being trolled by rm and rmp in 3s but i’ve managed to learn how to deal with them/
objectively, i can tell you right now rogues are in a very bad spot, the blind nerf hit them bad and their dps is inadequate not to mention how squishy they are right now.
cheapshots and kidneyshots are all rogues have right now. they feel like half-baked ccs tbh . if all they deserve a minor buff not a nerf in my opinion .
i understand its frustrating to deal with rogues but once you play once or play with one you will understand the situation clearly
