I do not care about buying every single item first of all, i’m fine with having to save sometimes too if I wanna get stuff… but for just the mount and transmog items it’s 1600? It feels like every time a new trading post comes out the stuff is more expensive? I wish there was atleast a way to freeze more than just one item… like atleast 3? They add so many items and then give you barely enough to buy one thing?

Many of us knew from the start we would be eased into the system softly, and then, little by little, its true purpose would finally be revealed. I think Blizzard will go ham with tender bundles soon.
But I agree, justified concern. Mounts used to be 500 right? Now 800. Pets 200, now 500? Not entirely sure, cannot check right now.

We have now too much mogs\mount\pets that we never use. Im a collector but sincerely more tenders will mean just more unused things in my collection.

I am a strong believer of the saying that “going to the extreme in something will lead to its opposite”
If you give players hundreds or thousands of new mounts, pets and to a smaller extent toys and transmog (because the psychology is very different there), many will eventually stop caring.
To put it simply, oversaturation = apathy.
Again, this does not apply to everyone at all times. And another way to look at it is that there is always something to hunt for.

I certainly remember mounts costing 500-600 at most, I had sorta jumped off WoW for a while and I definitely remember the mounts being a lot cheaper on the trading post before I came back!

I mean at this point I collect mounts solely to get the next achievement when they inevitably add a 550/600 mounts achievement with ‘mostly’ a nice mount as a reward.
It’s the reason I zerged MoP remix, well that and the mogs, but I’ll probably never even touch the 30+ mounts I got from remix.
When I do ride it’s mostly a Dragonriding one (until WW), and when it’s a normal one I stick to maybe the same 4-5 rare or very nice- looking ones.

Yeah, oversaturation inevitably leads to devaluation of individual mounts. One might even say we have reached a point with pets and mounts where quantity>quality, i.e getting more and more is the carrot, not getting “special” ones. Again, not talking in absolutes

June mount was 700. I still have it frozen so I checked the price, so yes, it’s increasing.

It’s more expensive cause when you mount up the animation is sliiightly different
2023 prices.
Some mounts were cheaper 650-700, but there were also several 900 tender mounts.
Pets also weren’t as cheap as claimed.
I think this might be a case of the Mandela Effect.
One thing is true though: Last year we had more opportunities to get some extra tender. Either through shop promotions or just by being given extra in some months.
If one is inclined to this type of thinking: It could be said that Blizzard is grooming us. First we were given extra tender, now we complain we don’t have enough, so when, some time in the future, they offer us ways to get more, we’ll be relieved and happy about it, instead of angry.

I do think the mounts and pets are rather costly.
A mount has to be pretty cool before I’ll buy one. The pet would have to be something that is really good too.
The other items are generally reasonably priced. But if you buy a mount you’re lucky to be able to buy anything else that month.

I’m not really sure, it just feels like the amount I cannot get has grown tremendously all of a sudden.
Could be. There’s returning items now every month besides the regular new stuff.
And for instance; last year there were months where there wasn’t a mount for sale. I believe people complained and now they’re trying to at least always offer something from the various different categories.
That’s probably true. Definitively feels like a lot of people are more interested in the collection achievements and just collecting for the sake of collecting.
To each their own I guess.
Last time I checked beforehand what new cool stuff came with an expansion or patch was WoD.
Don’t have to check anymore. I know there’ll be a whole bunch of stuff with every update and that I don’t need any of them. I hit my capacity of things I’ll never use a long time ago.
Everything collected now a days I get accidentally by doing what I want to do.
