I mean, play GW2 if it’s so great then? I tried it when I quit Shadowlands for the sole reason that you can enter pvp pretty much right away but… it has good stuff but WoW is still way above competition. I think what we have now is a good balance between no gearing and some gearing, which is good as people don’t have a uniform opinion on this.
Yeah I’ve heard the queue times are bad for SS, hopefully they can address it somehow. SS is not the only way for a casual to get gear though. I got my full hnr set from a few hours of random bgs, you can also wpvp for nice gear, there’s professions’ gear (even has bis pieces) and honestly even low rated rbgs or arenas are very casual - up to 1.6 for sure. Esp. rbgs will get you a ton of currencies and unlock your vault rewards easily.
I just don’t see the roadblocks this time around. Give props when they’re due.
I don’t have a crystal ball to tell you how things will progress, but I haven’t been this optimistic about an expansion from a pvper’s standpoint in damn ages.
There is no gear grind mate. Just do some arenas & bgs while leveling then you go to the vendor and get all your stuff with honor then you are fully geared. No conduits, legendaries, azerite gear, artifact weapon etc…
If you want fast honor or conquest, just do you daily first win of the day in each bracket + the pvp quests.
Even with 2-3h a day, you’ll easily fully honor gear an alt in 2 sessions + cap their conquest.
You’ll need a few days to get enough primal chaos for crafted items, after that it’s only bi-weekly sparks + some gold to get extra crafted items.
The only other thing is the wpvp trophy weekly quests, which you might not be able to do on multiple characters, but being behind with 1-2 items that are 10ilvls higher, won’t suddenly make the difference in every game you play.
Basically, be efficient during queue times and you’ll be at 99% power anyway.
False. In the off-season in pre-patch before dragonflight they had rated solo shuffle for balancing reasons. You could get rating and upgrade gear to your rating. You may have not known this, but it is a fact and you should simmer down before saying others are wrong. Maybe check?
Not casual friendly? The top (dps) classes are easy as hell to play at a casual level… (Fury Warrior, Rogue, Demo Lock etc.) and gearing is easy well, couple of epic bgs and you’re set, hell, crafters can make you better PvP gear then what the Honor Vendor has (well, if you have the coin for it, so its optional).
