I realllly tried to give it a go. Tried to do undermine, but it STILL feels like a chore and it’s not fun, and on top of that, it’s BUGGED. I tried to do that bloody car mission, to pick up a package and deliver it.
There is NOTHING on the map that indicates where to go, and the green arrow points in all directions and there is nothing there to click. I saw a youtube video on it, and it was NOT the same in game at all, there was no package to pick up. I was just so frustrated i just logged back out.
Why do you make these missions that dont work? If it’s too difficult to figure out, it’s not fun, and it doesnt make me wanna log on at all.
Something has got to be done about this bloody game to make it fun again !!! and i’ve had an active subscription since 2005!
When is Blizzard going to learn that a new patch and new zone does not mean that the ilevel has to be raised. Look at GuildWars 2 max level is max level and with gear too. now it is becoming more and more unattractive to play because you just got all the good gear you have to grind again because of ilevel
I really didn’t enjoy Undermine either and don’t plan on even finishing the campaign there, but I didn’t find any bugs with it - it’s just not to my taste. I’ll get my world content chores done in 11.0 zones.
Aside from Undermine, I think 11.1 is shaping up to be a really good patch, tis a shame to see people skipping it because I don’t think WoW is going to get any better.
Undermine is one of the greatest additions to wow yet. And there are multiple reasons why some people don’t like it - because they cant adapt to new things and want things to be their way. But things will not always be their way, this is the significant difference and you should get over it because this is how things are and how things have always been. The reason why you play classic is very obvious, because you lack the stamina, skill, and overall knowledge to adapt yourself to the wow enviroment. This is why a lot of old wow streamers plays classic - because they cannot keep up with the phase, and they themselves know it. And this is fast, and it is the fastest expansion yet - and it will just be faster as times goes on and on and you will not be able to keep up with that, because you are still stuck in 2002 and playing world of warcraft classic where you dont require the fast reactions skills, knowledge and experience as you need in retail today. Undermine overall is great for those who understands the fundamentals behind its concept. And those who does not understand it doesn’t understand it for a reason; I understand it and I have played through the content and it is great content. Now, where do you find great content in classic wow? Expect running around for endless hours to finish a quest and literally going through this giant map which overall is a wasteland; and you call that fun. It is slow. And that might be fun… for a grandmother.
I am one of the real veterans of World of Warcraft and have been playing since the beta and have experienced many good and bad patches and updates and even expansions that were boring and bad in my eyes but I always found something to play. Undermine will be a good update but personally I think it is too small and too full so the new drive system does not come into its own
It’s common for many people to say what you just wrote, but it holds no value because the most of those who say it did actually not “play since beta” and only say that by lying to gain made-up prestige/sense of accomplishment from other people. I get the feeling many people jump into the Classic realms and afterwards they think that “now when I’ve played classic I am a vanilla veteran!”. Let me tell you now that the true vanilla veterans who were there 20 years ago probably do not brag about it to others, they instead show that they mean business without actually saying it, as I will now.
Truth to be told I doubt there are many genuine vanilla veterans still playing, it is almost exactly to the date 18 years ago since vanilla ended with the release of The Burning Crusade on January 16th. Some quit WoW even this early due to thinking that the expansion was “going out of wow’s core game design” and due to many other complaints.
Between 20-18 years ago a lot has happened obviously, it’s very impressive that WoW has been able to survive a whole two decades. But the fact remains is just that- it was two decades ago. People have come and gone to WoW since then. People who were in their teens during vanilla are now 30-40 years old and likely have a family. People who played vanilla in their 30s are now at least 50 years old and are likely grandmothers or grandfathers. Sadly truth to be told some have even passed away.
I think you are right there aren’t many veterans left.
I started around naxx release not sure when exactly and earlier wasn’t an option cause I was just eleven.
I think most people that where old enough to be part of the beta are now past playing wow.
