I Wanna AFK

It’s a waste of time to make a change to the game, which frankly no one will honestly care about.

They have more important things to deal with.

Afking = unnecessary CO2 being emitted.
Shame on you OP!

I give them my money every month as I decide to do so. Can blame them all you want but thats taking your own accountability out the picture. If you dont want to pay them, dont.

Also money does not solve everything. Sure they could go ahead and buy new Servers everytime but the thing is, they also need to maintain those servers and keep them stable which again costs money.

I rather them having them spend the money on real issues and game developement than on something that insignificant. Logging back in takes about 30 seconds.

Just because you want something, does not mean it needs to be implemented.

The lack of actual arguments and the line of communication shows that you dont want a discussion but just want to play the “Blizz bad” card. So I will leave you to it, take care.

Some servers have que for login where people have to wait for someone to leave so there opens spot for them to join the server. Without game never kicking anyone out from over 30min of inactivity, nobody would never log out from such server when it would mean they would have to wait in que next when they wish to play, so its good for other reasons than the server resources as well.

They unfortunately won’t listen to logic :stuck_out_tongue:

u are logged out only if u are not moving.

literally jump once every 20 minutes and u are good

Why afK? Just play

Exactly!

The OP is someone who has no responsibilities in life. Probably lives with their parents and probably is also unemployed. They don’t have to pay taxes, buy a car, pay those fees/yearly maintenance reviews, pay for fuel, drive to work, pay for rent or a mortgage etc.

Hense why they have such a hard time understanding the reason for this game not having an always staying ingame thing. It’s never had that, even the games, which were released before WoW and during the first few years of WoW, also had the auto afk disconnect feature.

Only recent games and a few older ones like BDO can have you just stay ingame, but those are pretty much all F2P games with a heavy cashshops. So of course they want to keep people ingame.

Are we actually discussing this?

You go afk you get kicked.

That’s it. That’s the reality deal with it

Technically there are two inevitabilities in this life: death and taxes. Unless live on a desert island and never buy anything, we all have to pay taxes to the man, but its not a bad thing per se when without goverment or social structure it would be pretty hard to try make it on our own :dracthyr_a1:

or record a few mins/ 1 hour video by AFK-ing in your favourite zone and then watch it in a loop. You wont notice the difference.

How did you know what I were just googling about :eyes:

I were testing my frost mage to see if the micro stutter is still there and yep, it is there when you press icy veins in blitz or shuffles. Stutters still there since dragonflights pre-patch

Least entitled wow player damn.
Just reconnect to the game when you get back.

Auto run into a wall or something

It doesn’t help, you get kicked even when you are doing some crafting professions, crafters usually produce few thousands of an item and it can easily take more than 30 minutes often. Even they get kicked if they dont touch for more than 30 min even tho they are on the work LOL

Is it Friday already, or why are people taking this seriously?

Or is the “most entitled whinethread of 2025” Trophy being given out early this year so we can start collevctring submissions for 2026 just in case?

If you want to afk no matter what (which btw explicitly makes you part of the Problem and not part of the Solution, environmentally speaking), there are addons and weakauras to facilitate that. And these have existed longer than the OPs account has, or mine for that matter, since at least 2007.

And that´s all it takes, problem solved in 60 seconds or less… no reason whatsoever for Blizzard to remove timeouts for a problem that you can easily solve yourself by spending less time on a google search than was spent typing up a whine about not being able to afk indefinitely.
