the priest discipline is currently the best is by far
holy priest is the easiest healer to pick up.
it is also quite reactive and doesnt have a lot of tools.
bring easier also means there is not so much potential to carry people or make a big difference.
aside from pressing buttons, all healers are hard and you are reliant on your teams positioning or you have to expose yourself to endless cc or a swap that will instantly delete you.
from my personal list of difficulty (everyone has different view) easiest to hardest:
holy priest
holy pal
mw
disc
rsham/rdruid
evoker didnt play
evoker is really ez to pick up too.
thats really a nice list from my own opinion stick witth hpriest-hpally-evoker. disc and rshammy/rdruid is really hard to master if we take high rating into consideration
@op
You’re better off staying disc.
Honestly this is enough to get around ss. cheers !
Protection Paladin is the eassiest healer, funnily enough
while disc sounds and looks easy, you can easily get in trouble with mismanaging direct heals and healing through dmg.
rshamy is kinda hard for several reasons
rdruid at least has the option to play sit back healer. But opening the full potential of rdruid is really difficult. Also has lots of buttons.
probably. Just not my cup of tea. Echo feels a little stupid for me
lmao is this some disc bait thread… disc is really the easiest healer PS twice rapture and barrier swap lol.
You think you do but you don’t …
“Easier” is a tricky thing.
The easiest healers to pick up and understand are Holy Priest and Mistweaver, but they’re definitely not the easiest to actually play in competitive PvP environment. They’re bottom tier and they suffer from core design issues that are hardly compatible with PvP.
They’re simple specializations, but they’re hard to make work.
I’d say Evoker is the solid middle ground.
Unlike Disc, it doesn’t have that odd “deal damage to heal allies” mechanics, it never gets tunneled, it has good mobility, it doesn’t need to cast and it has several schools of magic anyway, and it doesn’t OOM as much.
It also has a lot of CDs, panic buttons, and even a massive AOE healing spell to use DURING crowd control.
And let’s be real, Nullifying Shroud is a very beginner friendly mechanic.
It’s also pretty fun, and once you get good, you can carry some games with good offensive Rescues which is always fun.
Go Evoker is what I’m saying.
disc is pretty easy tbh at lower ratings tbh. Loads of walls and emergency buttons like swap.
Pala is normally pretty easy too but not that meta.
Other than that i guess evoker isnt too hard.
dont recommened rshaman/holypriest right now and rdruid isnt that easy too
Post-buff Disc isn’t very difficult.
I think disc priest is one of the easiest to start with. Not too many abilities, and not too much setup needed, like keeping hots up to get max power from your heals (resto druid) or empowering heals with tea and managing 90 different cds (mistweaver).
But a big part of why disc is so good now is the dmg it can do. So finding out when and where you can work in some dps without dropping the ball on healing takes some practice.
