I’m a M+ player normaly , i was playing a lot in 9.0 , then i got burned out so quit . But i want to try PVP now but it’s legit impossible to catch up
I have a fresh shaman lvl 60 with 150 ilvl , no honor points , don’t have the 1600 cr for the 9.1.5 catchup
i have to farms 50K Honor for this useless honor gear 233 ilvl
How i’m supposed to farms conquest point or honor point when i have no gear and will have to face 245 ilvl players in normal BG to farm honor ? It’s not playable .
Nobody does RBG 0 cr anymore , to farm conquest and honor on alts , legit 0 groups in RBG ally side
I guess , i have to afk and get carried by my team in normal BG
Comp Stomp Brawl will be up in a couple weeks - it’s brawl against bots that impossible to lose and that gives honor and conquest like normal BG, takes about 5 min to finish and 2 min que.
I hate to say it, but that’s probably the best idea. Atm you have to put in alot of effort to get your honor gear and upgrade it, only to be still useless in PvP.
Not this topic again… you complain about honor catch-up when those who were there from the start know already how tedious it was without any catch-up. Just man up, every one of us who are leveling alt’s is going through the same thing.
And as for now the PVP state they won’t do anything much just buff the honor n conquest gains when necessary. The major changes that people want will not be present until next expansion.
I just don’t understand why they don’t rewards conquest point in bgs between lvl 50>60 , just imagine how this game could be fun , stacking conquest gear in the leveling 50>60 , buy your full rank 0 cr 233 ilvl when lvl 60 so you can start ranking arenas and have fun ??
I’m supposed to farms 50K + honor , doing normal bg vs 250 ilvl players when i have 180 ilvl max gear , i have to do 70+ BG where i can’t have fun , any impact with my gear
when you want to start late in the season , its way harder . Normal BG , arena 0CR are flooded by PVE players 250 ilvl who got bored in PVE and queue some Pvp for fun
The fun was sucked out of the game a long time ago.
No fun allowed.
Yes, you have gotta do exactly like that like everybody else who comes In late game. You late-game players already got an increased buff for more honor, try doing it without it and tell me how it goes.
You can voice your opinion under Help > suggestions and submit feedback but that’s about it and right now the stuff you want solely rely upon the Community council to see if they can get the information through.
Somewhat of the PVP issue was tackled here but they already stated that they are not going to do any massive changes in 9.1.5 just wait for 9.2 and even then so far what I have seen in the PTR it doesn’t look good at all. At this point, you are better off waiting for a new expansion only to realize and be met with the same style of experience where you write the same topic about the PVP issue.
I have some hope that we will still see some changed for 9.2, if I read Hollinka correctly. He mentioned not changing this system during this season. I interpret that as upcoming changed. Or perhabs it’s just wishful thinking.
Well I mean don’t give up on hope just keep on waiting for something better. If it changes then it’s gonna be better for us and if not then we will continue the charade.
Blizzard uses gear to reward subscription.
If you play through the patch, you get a decent ilvl, which assures you arena wins and provides positive reinforcement (ego bloating). If you don’t play through the patch, you get oneshotted and thus sacrificed for the pleasure of a player, who did.
With this game model in place, it is obvoius, that you can’t jump in, unless you buy boosts with wow token, therefore making up to Blizzard for the months you did not play.
Yes, this is bad, however there is a solution. What you need to do is do korthia stuff, get some korthia gear and fill the missing gear with unupgraded honor gear which now goes to 213 ilevel in pvp at rank 1 (or something like that).
This is already not bad at all to start playing arenas. With this gear you can spam arena and buy conquest gear, and you will win games because at low rating a lot of people are as badly geared as you.
You can also get the earth ele legendary and play as a resto, since there is a big healer deficit you will be able to find some geared warrior that will carry you through your weak state until you get some conquest gear together.
Just by playing you will get at least to 1600 rating for basically zero effort. With this you can upgrade to PvP ilevel 249 (I think). The actual huge issue will be getting the honor for the conquest upgrades themselves, which is a real problem and which is what you will have to save all your honor for.
You can easily catch up with maw weeklies/korthia gear that’s around 220 ilvl and start playing low rated 2v2/3v3s until you get your full conquest set.
You will lose a lot, especially once you start reaching 1600-1800 brackets and start seeing fully geared players, but after a week or 2 of playing, you’ll be geared yourself.
to be honest , i have ptsd from the maw and korthia , i don’t want to go in theses zones . I think it’s better to get M+ gear tbh but i’m burned out by M+ too , so i guess i will just afks in normal bg and pretend to play
Why is there no random rbg? Players sign up and receive an automatic invitation. The same armor level can also be reached after a long game time, whether won or lost. Where would the problem be? That only 5% of the best of the best will cry?
If I was starting from scratch now, with a newly dinged 60 on a new realm (as I did when I decided to try Horde), I would buy some cheap 200ilvl pieces on the AH to raise my ilvl (and a 230 if I could afford one), get the 40 renown and all conduits at 200 from the broker by the flight master in Oribos. Then spam the highest Torghast layer I could do quickly (that rewards cinders) to get my legendary up to 262. This assumes, as you said, that I wanted to avoid Korthia.
Then, as another poster has suggested, go into 2v2/3v3. I started 2v2s with a mate this week (first time I’ve ever really done any pvp), and I haven’t bothered with the honor gear. I saved up conquest to buy a pair of trinkets and I’m upgrading them (and will buy more gear and upgrade that) as I gain rating. Even with our high pve ilvls we get slaughtered if we come up against a competent and well geared team, but we’re managing to maintain around 50% win rate, which means my rating is steadily going up.
From what I understand, while ilvl is important, having good pvp gear with tons of versatility is even more important, so I’m slowly building a pvp set. Since you’re starting fresh, you can give yourself a bit of help by focusing on versa when you look for gear.
Despite quoting me, you clearly missed the part where I said I’ve already done it on a Horde character.
I find myself needing to use this quote again in response to the ‘Debbie-downers’ who like to spread their negativity on these forums: “People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.”
I guess, the point is not so much, whether it can not be done. Surely, some 100 hours of grinding would prove sufficient for the task?
Rather the problem is, whether it should be done.
Frankly, if you cant log in and do pvp immediately on your level 60 char, why would you play 100 hours more just to check, if it is fun?
I mean clearly, wow devs have never done pvp or they would have understood, where their sub base went
